Rippinvale is Hanmer Springs premier boutique eco retreat, 5 star rated and a 2011 recipient of the Trip Advisor certificate of excellence. Famous for our sumptuous gourmet breakfasts served to guests in their suite. Much of the produce served at Rippinvale is home grown or foraged locally. All preserves and condiments are made with love and care,the old fashioned way at Rippinvale.
Guests enjoy a stylish semi-contained country style apartment suite with all of todays modern comforts as well as some old fashioned ones... homemade cookies, fresh flowers and exclusive NZ toiletries. Each suite opens to a private courtyard garden just a few short steps from the outdoor alpine jacuzzi.
Rippinvale Retreat is nestled in large wooded grounds with 2.5 acres of mature landscaped gardens. Magnificent alpine views are enjoyed from all aspects.
The grounds feature native New Zealand flora, sweeping lawns, an outdoor alpine jacuzzi, a petanque court and lawn tennis.
Therapeutic Swedish Massage is available at Rippinvale Retreat to ease tired and stressed muscles and aid in relaxation.
A high light of staying at Rippinvale is the opportunity to experience pristine NZ wilderness on a personally guided 4 WD drive trip. Try your hand at fishing or perhaps wildlife or scenic photography. Enjoy a delicious gourmet hamper with a special NZ twist. Half or full day trips are available.
