Overview
The Richmond Guest House is a lovely 19th century villa less than 1 km from Courtenay Place and Wellington city has recently been refurbished and has still got many of its original features including beautiful ornate plaster ceilings and cornices and new colonial architraves throughout. We have twelve rooms all with their own ensuite bathrooms

There is a communal kitchen where guests can prepare their own meals with a connecting dining room with complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Plus we have a computer set up in the dining room for free internet use and there is free WiFi throughout the building as well, We also have a TV lounge And free laundry use is available. We are a 100% non-smoking site and not suitable for children.

We are on the shuttle bus route and within a 10 minute drive to the Airport, Rail, Bus, and Interisland Ferry depot. (Approximately $20 for two from airport and ferry)

Getting There
Directions from the Airport (15mins)
-Take the exit from Airport terminal towards the city.
-At the roundabout take the first exit onto Calabar Road.
-Drive 1km then at the roundabout take the first exit onto Cobham Drive, then at the second roundabout take the second exit to keep on Cobham Drive.
-Drive 2km then turn right at Ruahine Street.
-Drive 1km then drive through Mount Victoria Tunnel.
-Once through the tunnel, turn left at Dufferin Street (to circle around The Basin Reserve).
-Turn right to stay on Dufferin Street, when the road splits in two directions, keep in the right lane and turn right.
-Drive straight ahead on to Ellice Street, do not continue around The Basin Reserve.
-Drive 200m and then turn left in to Brougham Street. Richmond Guest House is 200m up Brougham Street on your left.

Directions from the Train Station (8 mins)
-Drive down Bunny Street and turn right on to Waterloo Quay.
-Drive 1km then continue on Customhouse Quay.
-Drive 270m then continue on Jervois Quay.
-Drive 600m then continue on Cable Street.
-Drive 600m then turn right at Oriental Parade.
-Drive 500m then turn left at Pirie Street (KFC is on the corner).
-Drive 220m then take the second right on to Brougham Street. Richmond Guest House is 200m on your right.
Alternitavely, you can catch bus service 2 from the train station, and get off at Pirie Street.

Directions from the Interislander Ferry (10 mins)
-Take the exit from the ferry terminal towards the city.
-Drive 1km along Aotea Quay and continue on to Waterloo Quay.
-Drive 1km then continue on Customhouse Quay.
-Drive 270m then continue on Jervois Quay.
-Drive 600m then continue on Cable Street.
-Drive 600m then turn right at Oriental Parade.
-Drive 500m then turn left at Pirie Street (KFC is on the corner).
-Drive 220m then take the second right on to Brougham Street. Richmond Guest House is 200m on your right.

Directions from SH1 (11 mins)
-Drive south along the Wellington Urban Motorway.
-Follow the motorway 7.1km then continue on Vivian Street.
-Drive 1km then turn right on to Kent Terrace.
-Drive 270m then turn slight left at Ellice Street (do not go around The Basin Reserve).
-Take the second left on to Brougham Street. Richmond Guest House is 200m on your left.

Parking Info
Car parking is on the street normally just metres from the front door (all perfectly safe)
I loan guests parking permits to put in their cars at no charge
