Situated 800m from Franz Josef Village and part of the historic former Tourist Hotel Corporation Hotel built in the 1960’s.

A stroll through the Motel grounds will give you million dollar-mountain views without the million-dollar price tag. Our staff can also help you discover bush walks through the grounds including glowworm grottos and stands of 40 year old Rhododendrons.

Check-in at the Haast Bar located on-site where you also receive a 10% discount on dinner and a great chance to meet a view of the locals.

Getting There
Only 800m from Franz Josef Village that is situated on state Highway 6, 2 hours south of Greymouth on excellent roads. Buses run twice daily from Greymouth via Franz Josef to Queenstown and back.
