Overview
This elegant country venue is one of the region's newest accomodation venues. We have combined the charm of an old stable building with quality modern facilities for 10 self contained luxury accommodation suites.

Our 10 rooms are appointed with state of the art facilities and decor. Interior design was undertaken by acclaimed Wellington designer Michael Nalder and finished in a restful country decor.

Our 10 suites consist of 4 rooms with one king size bed, 5 rooms with 2 king size beds and a Premier suite with one king size bed in a seperate bedroom. King beds in the larger rooms are able to be separated into single beds - meaning flexibility for kids or extra adults.

All rooms have a private sun deck, beautiful ensuite, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, iron & board, hair dryer and Sky TV on LCD wall mounted screens. We offer complimentary car parking. The Premier suite also features a spacious lounge/dining area, a full kitchen and a seperate bedroom. The bathroom also includes a spa bath.

Building features include sound proof doors and "double skin" interior lining to minimise noise. All suites have internal access via the reception area, which is adjacent to the restaurant and a sun/smoking deck off each room.

Our House Bar "the Polo Lounge" is our authentic Lodge room, filled with a wonderful warm ambience. This offers a bar facility, a snack menu, arm chair seating, open fire and big screen TV for those "can't miss" sports events.

Outside courtyard dining on lovely days and cosy open fire for those cooler ones.

Breakfasts are available to house guests 7 days.

Our function room has the capacity to seat up to 110 people, an inhouse music system, dance floor, space for a band and a sunny out door patio complete with sandpit for the children. This outdoor area is ideal for wedding ceremonies which can then move indoors for the wedding reception.

The Polo Lounge House bar is also ideal for Private Dining Parties, Cocktail Parties, Conferences, Team Building sessions, show casing product, meetings and the like.

Situated on SH2 on the Southern Fringe of Masterton township. Easy access to Main Highway Bypass and the Southern Wairarapa District including Greytown and Martinborough. Close to the Wairarapa Wine District and on the SH2 tourist trail. Wellington City/Airport is an easy drive of 80-90 minutes. Masterton also offers main road access to the Hawkes Bay and Manawatu.

Business Facilities
Gateway Inn offers flexibility in its two function rooms to accommodate most styles of conference, workshop, presentation, or function you may have in mind from 4 people to 110.

The Polo Lounge may be used for private meetings around an 18 seater board table, or seat 30 classroom style or U shape and approx 70 theatre style.



Our restaurant area can seat up to 130 people for either meals or for a conference.

The Polo Lounge has comfortable arm chair seating for up to 20 people in a more relaxed style workshop or can accommodate up to 70 people in theatre style seating.

We can supply a white board, and can locally hire conference equipment on your behalf.

Getting There
We are situated on the southern fringe of Masterton township on SH2 (High Street).
We are a Black Building in authentic stable style architecture. We are fronted by a large carpark and there is an illuminated sign at the gateway.
We are approximately 0.5 km from the closest railway stop.
