Qualmarked 3 star plus, with secure wireless broadband in all units the Flamingo Motel consists of 30 self-contained units ranging in size from small studio units (to sleep 1 or 2 people) to spacious 2 bedroom units (to sleep up to 6 people), including one wheelchair/disabled person access unit. With our large range of unit sizes and designs we can easily accommodate all needs from the Corporate Business person to tours, families, groups and teams. All units have full kitchen facilities, their own bathroom with shower, televisions (with 6 channels of SKY), telephones, irons and ironing boards, and are serviced daily. Cooked Breakfasts are available Monday to Friday and Continental Breakfasts are available 7 days. Evening meals can be delivered to your rooms from a selection of excellent local Restaurants, or if dining out, meals can be charged back to your room charges at the Flamingo Motel. We have two guest laundries for the use of our guests and these are available 24 hours, 7 days.

Our Motel has spacious grounds, with car parking at your door. We have a beautiful peaceful park-like garden with a barbeque area and playground for the children. We have a hot (spa temperature) indoor pool, as well as a solar heated outdoor swimming pool.

We are located one kilometre from the centre of the City, and are close to Port Taranaki, Ngamotu Beach, Taranaki Base Hospital, sporting facilities such as Paratutu Bowling Club, 10pin bowling,rugby park (Yarrow Stadium),squash courts, fitness centres, etc., as well as restaurants and cafe's.
New Plymouth is renown for its unique scenery, in that we have a majestic volcano as the backdrop to our beautiful coastline. We have great beaches (swimming, surfing, kayaking and sailing), lakes and mountain walks, our famous surf walkway, as well as other attractions such as private gardens open to the public, Pukekura Park, PukeIti Museum, the Sugar Loaf Islands Conservation and Marine Reserve area, wineries, historic buildings, Art Galleries etc.

Getting There
Located at 355 Devon Street West we are very easy to find.
Traveling to New Plymouth on Surf Highway 45 we are the first Motel on the right once you have entered the City boundary.
Traveling from Auckland (or our Airport) on State Highway 3 you will find yourself on a one way system when you get in to the City. Stay on this system to the end of it, turn right on to Morley Street, 1st lights you come to turn left on to Devon Street West and we are the 2nd Motel on your left.

Traveling on State Highway 3 from Wellington, Manawatu, Wairarapa or Hawkes Bay, turn left at the 1st set of traffic lights you encounter once inside the City Boundary. This puts you on the one-way system on Leach Street. A Caltex & a Mobil Service Station and a McDonalds Restaurant are also at this intersection. Stay on the one-way system to it's end, turn right on to Morley Street at the traffic lights on to Devon Street West and we are the second Motel on your left.

Parking Info
All car parking is off street within the complex and secure. The majority of our units have parking at the unit door.
Some exta parks are available for guests with more than one vehicle and we can accommodate a number of trailers, boats or tour coaches on site.

Car parking is free.

Guests visitors are requested to park off the site on Devon Street West.
