Getting There

The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the city's shopping, commercial and entertainment centre and is a good choice of hotel near Te Papa Museum, live theatre in Courtney Place and many of the city's finest restaurants and bars.
By Car - The motor way flows into Wellington city and is well sign posted for directions to Oriental Bay. Copthorne Hotel Wellington Oriental Bay is at the start of Oriental Parade approaching from the North. At the intersection just after the Te Papa Museum, turn left along the waterfront and the hotel is 200m down on the right hand side.
By Rail - Wellington Rail Station is 1.5km from the Hotel, both metro trains and national lines arrive and depart from here. This is also the Bus Station for intercity passengers. A taxi from the train station costs $10 - $15.
By Air - Wellington Airport has many domestic flights daily, from all the major carriers in New Zealand. The Airport is 8 kms from the hotel. There is a taxi stand immediately at the front entrance of the Terminal. Alternatively, street maps are available at the Airport Visitor Information Centre should you be driving. All major Rental Car Companies have a service from the airport. Taxi from the Airport costs $25 - $30.
By Sea - The Interisland Line has daily sailing between the North & South Island. The ferries are rail, car and passenger carriers. The South Island port is Picton and Wellington is the North Island port. Easy drive from the ferry terminal to the hotel and the route is well sign posted. Taxi cost $25-$30
