Overview
The Colonial Motel is Qualmark rated 4 star, a MANZ member and Golden Chain member situated on State Highway One (66 Main Street Blenheim)and has 10 spacious self-contained and serviced units comprising three modern studios that sleep 1 to 2, two one bedroom units that sleep from 1 to 4,
four two bedroom units that sleep from 1 to 5
and a three bedroom unit that sleeps from 1 to 7.
One studio has access facilities.
All units have cooking facilities as well as a microwave, shower, hair dryer, iron and ironing boards, king/queen/single beds all with electric blankets, Sky TV,LCD TVs in the studios, DVDs in some units and free DVDs to view. There is a phone in each unit.
The motel is a Zenbu wireless hotspot for those guests with their own wifi laptops.
Cots, high chairs and baby baths available.
We provide light/continental and cooked breakfasts delivered to the units along with a complimentary morning newspaper.
Half of the units are upstairs with outside decks, tables and chairs and views to The Wither Hills so a breakfast can be enjoyed in the morning sun or a wine in the evening.
The motel has a swimming pool,2 BBQs, a Children’s playhouse in an enclosed play area, a garden area to stroll around and there is a guest laundry.
Our two entrance driveway has easy accessible parking directly outside the units and there is parking for light trucks, trailers and boats as well as a lock up garage for motorbikes and bicycles.
Directly outside our entrance are stores, takeaways and a restaurant.
The supermarket is a 4 minute walk and the town centre and stadium is a 7 to 10 minute walk.
Travel to the airport is a short drive of approximately 10 minutes while a drive to the Picton ferry is 28ks or 25 minutes.
Some of the attractions that are within a few minutes’ drive of the motel include the wineries, a world class aviation museum of WW1 aircraft and memorabilia, Brayshaw Museum Park, The river queen boat that cruises the Opawa river, the Wither Hills walks and Farm Park, Golf clubs, The Vines Village and the Makana Boutique chocolate factory just to mention a few.
Or you may like to go further afield to Renwick, Havelock, the Queen Charlotte Sound Drive, Picton or Seddon and Ward.

Our motel is situated on the corner of 66 Main and Dunbeath Streets, Blenheim on State Highway One and so is easy to find.
2 minutes drive from the train station on State Highway one or 10 minutes from the airport on state highway 6.
There are taxi and shuttle companies that service the area.

Our driveway has 2 entrances and parking is off-street, well lit and directly outside the units.
There is ample space for light trucks, trailers and boats.
