Aquasands modern north facing self-catering studio apartments are directly across the road from Little Oneroa Beach, overlooking the bay, beach and park. Furnished in comfort and style for couples, they are equipped with everything you need for a relaxing private retreat.

Ideal for international guests looking to recover from long journeys and jet lag, also wedding guests or couples looking to recharge. The balcony deck is very popular for drinking coffee or sipping wine to the sound of the sea. Access to Aquasands is very easy, from the passenger and vehicular ferries, early morning until late in the evening. The location is close (200 meters) to Little Oneroa Beach Store, where food, beer and wine are available. For great breakfasts, cafés, restaurants, art galleries, musical museum, funky movie theatre with latest movies and shopping Oneroa village is just a few minutes easy walk.

Aquasands Apartments facilities include a king sized bed, high quality linen and bath towels, couch, table and chairs. For entertainment Sky flat screen TV (with sports channels), DVD and CD-stereo radio. The apartments are self contained with a kitchenette that has simple cooking facilities which include electric frying pan, microwave, toaster and refrigerator. Tea and coffee (plunger) are provided.
The ensuite includes shower, hand basin , toilet, hair dryer, heated towel rail and mirror. Iron and ironing board are available upon request.

For laptop computers, wireless broadband internet is available.
The studios have their own private balcony decks with furniture, overlooking the beach and out to sea.

Getting There
Aquasands is situated on Waiheke Island at Little Oneroa Beach, approximately 2 kms from the Matiatia Ferry Terminal, and is across the road overlooking the Beach.

How to get to Aquasands Studio Apartments

From AUCKLAND AIRPORT:
Catch the Airporter bus which leaves from the Domestic and International arrival terminals every 15min during the day and 30 min at night. This service terminates at the Ferry Buildings Downtown. (The Waiheke Island ferry departs from here) Journey time between 40 min and an Hour, depending on traffic.
From Auckland city.

Fullers passenger ferries leave for Waiheke Island from the Quay Street Ferry Buildings, Downtown, at the bottom of Queen Street. Sailings are every hour on the hour from 9am to 5pm daily. There are earlier and later sailings but check timetables for details as these vary between week days, Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays. Return sailings are at similar times.

You do not need to book, just arrive 15 min in advance to buy your return ticket. The sailing time is approximately 40min.
Upon arrival at Matiatia ferry Terminal
You can catch a bus from outside the terminal. Ask to get off at the Little Oneroa Beach Store. Cross the bridge and facing the main road (Oceanview Rd) walk back up the hill to the right toward the village. Aquasands is 100m up from the bridge, across the road on your left. The sign will shortly become visible at the top of the drive which angles up.

Alternately take a cab from outside the ferry terminal and give the driver our address, Aquasands Studio Apartments, 168A Ocean View Road, Little Oneroa Beach.

HIRE A CAR:

The two principal Rental Car companies have customer counters in the terminal building, behind Fullers ferry ticket counter.

IF ARRIVING BY CAR FROM AUCKLAND:

Sealink operate modern vehicle/passenger ferries from Half Moon Bay (one of Auckland?s eastern suburbs). The service is frequent and the trip time to Kennedy Point on Waiheke Island varies between 45 and 65 minutes depending upon vessels and tides. Check with Sealink for time tables.
Upon Arrival at Kennedy Point Ferry Ramp, drive up the hill and along Donald Bruce Road past the schools. Turn left at the roundabout into Alison Road. This is the main road but be aware it keeps changing its name. Go through Surfdale and turn up Hamilton Road, past the Bowling Club on the right. Stay on the main road and at the top of the hill junction proceed left down Oceanview Road. At the bottom of the hill go past the Goodwin Ave Bridge (on your right).

You are now at Little Oneroa Beach. Aquasands is 100m up Oceanview Road on your left. The drive angles back up the hill and the Aquasands sign is at the top. We suggest you drive on past the entrance, up the road and turn around, to enter the drive coming down the hill now on your right.
