Overview
"A Great View" is located on top of Broadmeadows in a quiet area, between Khandallah and Johnsonville in the northern suburbs of Wellington (SH1). Johnsonville with many shops, restaurants and pubs is only a short drive away. Wellington CBD is a 12 min drive (Ferry 15 min, airport 20 min), where you will find all the attractions of New Zealand's capital. Our European style B&B offers two beautifully decorated bedrooms with private bath, some antique furniture, an open fire and a German library with many books.
Designed with you in mind "A Great View" has windows that open onto the ocean and decks. Enjoy the views from our deck or relax in the sunny garden with native bush, flowers and wildlife, including the famous tui. If you fancy a snooze whilst enjoying the great outdoors you can even take a nap in our German "strandkorb". The track to Mt. Kaukau is only a short stroll down the street.
Having travelled the world, Neville and Bettina enjoy the company of all nationalities and are able to welcome you in German, English and French; so come and make yourself at home at " A Great View".
A fully cooked breakfast buffet is included in the tariff. Complimentary tea or coffee is provided throughout the day. Dinner is available by arrangement.

Getting There
Follow SH1 from Wellington to Johnsonville. First traffic lights turn left, next traffic lights left, straight to sign Broadmeadows, stay always left to the top of the hill.
Train from Wellington to Johnsonville and then take bus number 50 to Broadmeadows, Jaunpur Crescent.
