Hotel Vondel is a 4-star boutique hotel, which dates back to 1903. It is situated in a beautiful residential area in a quiet street in the bustling heart of Amsterdam with the famous Vondelpark at the end of the street.
Museums square (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum of modern art), the Concertgebouw and the P.C. Hooftstraat, where you will find the most exclusive shops of Amsterdam, are all within easy reach. The famous Leidseplein with its lively restaurants, bars, café’s and theatres is in the immediate vicinity.

Hotel Vondel is named after Joost van den Vondel, the “Prince among Poets” and the Netherlands most acclaimed playwright (1587 – 1679).

Getting There
HOW TO REACH HOTEL VONDEL:

BY CAR:

1. FROM A2 UTRECHT
Coming from the A2, turn right at the first set of traffic-lights after the ”Utrechtsebrug” and follow the ”Amsteldijk” along the ”Amstel Canal”. Drive until you get to the T-crossing. Here you turn left on to the ”Stadhouderskade”. Pass three bridges. Turn left just before the ”Leidseplein”(direction Byzantium garage), this is the ”Tesselschadestraat”. Directly on your left is the ”Byzantium Garage” where you can park your car. After the bend (right-hand side), you’ll see Hotel Vondel at Vondelstaat 28.

2. FROM A4 SCHIPHOL AIRPORT-DEN HAAG
Coming from the A4 (E10), you take the S-106 exit in Amsterdam. At the end of the exit, turn right. Continue straight on the roundabout ”Surinameplein”. You now pass the bridge and take a left turn and you are on the ”Overtoom”. At the end of the ”Overtoom”, turn right and take the second street to the right, the ”Tesselschadestraat”. 3. FROM A1 AMERSFOORT-DIEMEN
Coming from the A1 (E-32), follow the signs ”Amsterdam Z.O.” and ”Schiphol”. Take the S-112 exit. You will enter the city at the ”Amstel Railway-station”. Follow the sign ”Centre”. You are now on the ”Wibautstraat”. From the roundabout you need to turn left at the 6th set of traffic lights. Cross the ”Amstel Canal” and go straight on the ”Stadhouderskade” See number 1 from here.

4. FROM N5 HAARLEM
From the ”Haarlemmerweg” turn right into the A10, direction ”Den Haag-Utrecht”. Get off at exit S-106. See number 2 from here.

BY TRAIN:
get out at Amsterdam Centraal and take the tram.

BY TRAM:
take tram 1, 2 or 5 from Centraal Station to Leidseplein, form there it is a short walk to Hotel Vondel.

Parking Info
Hotel Vondel has no Car Parking of its own, however the guests can leave their car outside on the street (dayticket € 36.00) or in a public parking garage near by (daily about € 48.00)
