Overview
Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca. This piece of paradise has been 2 million years in the making, and here you will find one of the world's premier resorts nestling in the shade of forest giants as old as the land.

You will find no other resorts just secluded bays curled around pristine beaches, evening skies woven with color, and a deep sense of serenity reserved exclusively for our guests. A combination of luxury, natural beauty and age-old wilderness woven together to produce an environment where peace and magically memorable moments are the currency.

Of the island's 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the Resort and its eight Estates. Wooden buildings blend seamlessly into the forest as if nature had been the architect dictating how walls curve around foliage, and roofs open up to allow trees to continue on their journey to the sky.

*** New Speedboat Schedule Update :
Effective from 1 June 2012, Pangkor Laut Resort will be re-timing its departures for the scheduled speedboats to and from the island to Marina Island Pangkor's office in a bid to further improve the guest transfer experience.

New speedboat schedule as of 1 June 2012:

From Marina Island to Pangkor Laut Resort:
0900, 1300, 1500, 1630, 2000

From Pangkor Laut Resort to Marina Island
0845, 1200,1300, 1700

One way transfers - Adult: MYR80; Child: MYR40
Additionally, the resort will also be revising the price of private boat charters, reducing it from RM700 to RM500 between 7am to 9pm, and from RM1000 to RM700 between 9pm to 7am.

Getting There
Kindly be informed effective 11 Dec 2011 our Resort office in Lumut will be relocated to Marina Island. Please also be informed, the journey to Pangkor Laut Resort from Marina Island will take approximately 15 minutes.


Private transfers from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Lumut could be arranged upon request. To get to the Resort from Marina Island, guests will take a 15-minute ferry ride.

For guests driving to Pangkor Laut from Kuala Lumpur, please note that the nearest town on the mainland is Lumut. Guests arriving by road can park their cars at the port of Marina Island and cross over to Pangkor Laut by ferry. Upon arrival in Marina Island Jetty, the Resorts office will be happy to assist you with your transfer to Pangkor Laut. The ferry crossing takes 45 minutes. The directions to get to Lumut are as follows:

* From the Damansara toll plaza, take the North South Expressway northbound towards Ipoh.

* Exit at the Bidor toll plaza. You will be charged approximately RM15.80 per car.

* The rest of the journey will be on trunk roads. You will pass through Bidor where you will see a Shell petrol station on your left should you need to refuel.

* Follow signboards pointing to Pelabuhan Lumut or Lumut Naval Base.

* Follow signboards to Teluk Intan, Sitiawan and Pulau Pangkor.

* The journey from Bidor town to Lumut is approximately 110 km, or 1 hours. As you arrive at Lumut, the Resort's office in Lumut will be on the left in a single storey building with a large signboard that reads Pangkor Laut Resort.

* There is a car park next to the Resorts Marina Island office where you will be able to park your car overnight for a nominal fee of RM12 per day.

Ferry Transfers

From Marina Island Jetty, the nearest town on the mainland to Pangkor Laut, guests are transported in the Resorts privately owned boats to Pangkor Laut Resort. Journey time is approximately 15 minutes.

Notes: If guests miss the last ferry, a private boat would need to be chartered and is chargeable at RM 700 nett, per boat per way.
