The Popular View Guesthouse newly opened in October 2010 and offers 20 clean and spacious rooms right on the Nam Song river and directly across from Don Kang Island. For a little something different, it's painted a light shell pink inside and out to add some flavour and serenity. Living up to its name, this is one of the best spots to watch the sun set over the mountains. Popular View is a backpacker mecca due to its proximity to bars and restaurants, and the growing popularity (no pun intended) of crossing the bamboo bridge to Don Kang Island to party the night away. The guesthouse is in the heart of the action during the day as well, close to the ATM, travel agency, post office and Mini Mart. The tubing route also happens to end right at Popular View's doorstep. Fun! Best of all, Western-style breakfast is included in the room price.
