Overview
The Phou Ang Kham Residence, or 'Hotel 2', newly opened in April 2011, offers three-storeys of 34 very clean, very airy rooms. As much as the cheerful colours of the other Phou Ang Kham Hotel lends charm, the black and white motif of Hotel 2 lends a modern and elegant feel right in the middle of town. Along with the close proximity of the travel agent, post office, and mini-mart, you're also only about 5 minutes from the river and the tubing rentals. Request a top floor room in the comments section of the booking page for beautiful views of the mountains and of Vang Vieng (depending on availability).

The owner of the Phou Ang Kham Residence (or Hotel 2) also owns another Phou Ang Kham accomodation known locally as the Phou Ang Kham Hotel (or Hotel 1). Be sure to be specific with your tuktuk driver. The 'Hotel' or 'Hotel 1' will get you to the outskirts whereas the 'Residence' or 'Hotel 2' will get you to the centre.
