Overview

The design of Hotel Monterey Kyoto was inspired by the 'Red House', which was the residence of William Morris, the Father of Modern Design. The hotel is a two minute walk from the subway station of Karasuma-Oike, which has two different lines with access to Kyoto station, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Nijyojyo Castle, and Kyoto International Conference Hall. Shijo subway station is also nearby, and is a three minute walk from the hotel.
