Welcome to Residence Rocca del Palazzaccio!
We are Jennifer and Francesco, husband and wife, together we form a New Zealand-Tuscan team which manages the 8 apartments which make up the Residence located at the beginning of the Chianti area, a short distance from Florence. Located on a hillside, surrounded by greenery, the characteristic Tuscan-style apartments of the Residence are laid out over 3 levels of the building, rebuilt on the remains of an 11th century watchtower .

The apartments sleep from 2 to 6 people and each has its own kitchen, with dishwasher, 4-ring gas stove, microwave and fridge-freezer. Should you not feel like cooking though, you can dine at the nearby Restaurant Montebuoni, at a special price.

The Residence is equipped with a panoramic swimming pool (12 x 6 m - maximum depth 1,50 m - open from 01/05 to 30/09) and furnished with umbrellas, deck-loungers and chairs. We have 8 acres of woodland, perfect for pleasant walks or picnics. When in season, you can taste our kiwis and plums, or take a sprig of parsley and basil from the vege-garden to prepare your meals. We have a lovely, stone barbeque for your outside dinners.

The residence is located approximately 10 km from Florence, in the village of Tavarnuzze, with shops and services of all kinds, including the number 37 bus which departs every 15 minutes and takes you to the center of Florence in less than half an hour. The place is also ideal for excursions to Siena and the Chianti villages which are reachable by car in about half an hour.

We are here, at your disposal during your stay and we can help you with cultural and gastronomic itineraries to discover the heart of Tuscany, to book visits to the museums of Florence and to suggest restaurants serving authentic Tuscan food. Not to mention helping you out should you need to book a haircut, or find those sunglasses you left at the museum, or how to pay a parking fine…
those unexpected situations that require knowing the local language !

Prices include all utilities, linen and bath towels, a weekly cleaning service with change of linen, use of the communal washing machine with detergent provided free of charge, access to the swimming pool and access to the vege patch for tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini and lettuce when in season !

Getting There
By Car:
If you are using a navigation device, enter via Cassia 289, Impruneta 50023.
From the A1 Milano-Napoli motorway take the Firenze-Impruneta exit. At the roundabout take the second exit in direction Greve, continue on the Via Cassia for 2km, passing an Esso gas station on the right. Continue on straight until you reach the sign for Rocca del Palazzaccio on your left. Drive up the paved road and we will come to greet you.

If you plan to arrive without a car, get in touch with us first, we may be able to assist with an arrival transfer from the train station or the airport.

By Train/Bus:
From the central train station in Florence, Santa Maria Novella, take the number 37 bus in direction Tavarnuzze (approx. 25-35 mins) alight at the end of the line. Call us as you get off the bus and we will be happy to come pick you up as the Residence is only a few hundred metres away.

Parking Info
Complimentary parking in our large private parking area (uncovered) at the top of our private paved driveway, just a few steps from the apartments.
