Overview
**As of 01st July 2011, the Florence city council has applied a city tax equal to 3 eur per person per night to be paid directly to the hotel. Children up to 10 years old are exempted. The city tax will not be applied beyond the 10th night stay.**

Situated in a palace of the 19th century in the centre of Florence, Hotel Caravaggio is within a walking distance from the Central railway station of Santa Maria Novella and, most important, it is very close to the most famous monuments and museums,(Accademia delle Belle Arti where Michelangelo’s David is kept), main Cathedral Duomo, Uffizi museum, which make Florence unique.
All the 37 rooms is equipped with private facilities, satellite TV, telephone, mini bar, air conditioning, safe, most of them with jacuzzi,hairdryer,laudry service,modem and broadband internet access directly from the room, internet point at the lobby with high speed internet access and WI-FI (extra charge). Getting There
Whether travelling from north or south by car, we recommend that you take the highway exit on the A1 at “Firenze Nord”: follow the signs for the centre and the “viali circonvallazione” . Continue towards the Fortezza da Basso - Exposition centre and looking for P.zza Indipendenza,we are in the middle of the square at n° 5.
The Amerigo Vespucci airport is 5km from the centre of Florence, a taxi ride to the Hotel Caravaggio takes approximately 15 minutes /cost 15/20 euros/.
Otherwise outside of the airport take shuttle bus for the centre /20 minutes/.
By train - as you walk out of the central railway station /Santa Maria Novella/ take the left exit,
/McDonald's side/on the right side of McDonald's you find via Nazionale, walk in for 5 minutes you will see a square Piazza Indipendenza, we are the second hotel on your right side n.5.
