the Hotel is located at 3rd floor of a magnificent old classic Florentine style building in the ancient city center, very close to the central train station of Firenze S. Maria Novella (100 mt., only 3 minutes walk), nearby the Exhibition Center of Fortezza da Basso, and in front of the Congress Center and the Business Center and in short distance from all the points of attraction of the city. The hotel is very near the wonderful Church of S. Maria Novella, the Medici Chapels and the traditional Market of San Lorenzo, next to the marvellous Church of San Lorenzo. The hotel has an elevator: rooms are equipped with private bath, A/C, heating, telephone, and color TV set; some rooms have external bath. On demand, it's possible to have rooms with balcony. There is also a nice terrace on the roof where guests can sunbathe and enjoy a marvellous view on the city. Information about museums and wine-and-food tours in Florence and in Tuscany countryside. Getting There
BY TRAIN:
The best way to go the Hotel Bijou , if you arrive by train. When you arrive at main train station of Santa Maria Novella (S.M.N.) ,exit the station on the left hand side , where the pharmacy is. Cross the road , at the traffic light , turn right ( you should pass a Mac Donald ) and take the first left hand turn onto Largo Alinari. The next left is Via Fiume and you will find Hotel Bijou 15 metres up on the left hand side.
BY CAR:
From highway A1/ take exit " Firenze nord" if you arrive from Bologna ,and follow the signs to reach the main railway station; we are just a few step away from it. From highway A1 take exit "Firenze Certosa" if you arrive from Roma then same way as above. From highway A11 reach the end of it and then follow the signs to reach the main railway station.
BY PLANE:
From airport " Vespucci " there is a bus - shuttle service leaving the airport every half an hour; The bus reach the railway station in 20 minutes . Cost per ticket is Euro 5 . In alternative the is taxi service (cost for the trip is app. 20 Euro by day and 35-40 Euro by night).
Parking Info
THE HOTEL HAS NOT A PRIVATE PARKING. Cars can be parked in the street with a Special Hotel Authorization or in a nearby garage who costs Euro 20 per day. There is also another garage that costs only Euro 10 per day (the distance from the hotel is approx. 1 km).
