With a private path to the golden sands of the beach and a two minute walk to the centre of town, Wollongbar Motel is the perfect venue for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful side of Byron Bay.

Wollongbar is a centrally located motel, with a three and half star AAA rating offering 22 rooms of various sizes. We take pride in providing clean, spacious, air conditioned rooms, friendly, efficient staff and helpful tour advice. The property also offers an outdoor saltwater swimming pool, spacious BBQ area, free off street parking and laundry facilities. A Continental breakfast can be ordered and delivered to your room each morning between 8.00am and 10.30am. Reception is open from 8.00am until 7.00pm daily and with a relaxed checkout time of 11am, we have everything you need for a short trip or an extended holiday.

Getting There
Driving:-
North and South bound from Pacific Highway:
Bear left onto Ewingsdale Road.
At the roundabout take the first exit onto Ewingsdale Road.
Ewingsdale Road continues into Shirley Street.
Wollongbar Motel is on the left opposite the hospital (very close to town).

Bus:-
The main bus station is located on Johnson Street outside the visitor centre. Wollongbar Motel is only a 10 minute walk from here. Continue north along Johnson Street toward the beach. Turn left at the roundabout at Lawson Street. Veer right at the next roundabout at Butler Street. Butler Street continues into Shirley Street. Wollongbar Motel is on your right opposite the hospital.

Air:-
Flights are available through Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas to the following airports:
Ballina (30 mins south of Byron).
Gold Coast - Coolangatta (60 mins north of Byron)
Transfers can be easily arranged from both airports. Transfers from Ballina start from $15.00 per person. Transfers from Coolangatta start from $30 per person. Please contact us for assistance when making your booking.
