Windmill Hill Lodge
The property was built in 1875 by the Green family and is located among some of Launceston's most gracious and stately properties in a National Trust Classified precinct. It has been furnished in Victorian period style and walking through the grand old front door into the hallway is like stepping back in time. The house is kept as much as possible as a period property but as a Bed & Breakfast it also boasts all modern amenities. All rooms have ensuites, refrigerators and tea and coffee making facilities. Several of our rooms are self catering which is handy for families and those who prefer to cater for themselves. Our heritage rooms are spacious, airy and give one a feeling of living in the Victorian era. Breakfast, both buffet and cooked, is served in our spacious dining room. We pride ourselves on the quality and variety of our breakfasts. We make all our own breads, jams, muffins ,stewed fruits, yoghurt, creamed rice, bircher muesli, porridge and more daily. In addition we offer freshly ground coffees, juices, cereals and fresh fruit. Why not come and sample what we believe to be the freshest and best breakfast in Launceston.


THE OLD WESLEYAN CHAPEL
The chapel is situated at 28 Russell Street in the heritage listed village of Evandale which is only FOUR minutes from Launceston airport and an easy fifteen minute drive from Launceston city centre.
The chapel was built in 1836 by the Wesleyan community. It has also been a Druids hall and the local community hall. It has recently been totally refurbished and has all conveniences necessary for a comfortable stay including full kitchen, queen size bed, a sitting and dining area, TV, laundry facilities and an outside dining area also.The whole property is yours and yours alone while you are staying.
A home made breakfast pack is included in the tariff. This contains farm eggs, home made breads, jams, cereals, porridge, freshly ground coffee, tea, milk and lots more.
Entering the village of Evandale is like stepping back in time to the Victorian era.
The village has several places to eat, a great bakery and a couple of nice pubs.
Every Sunday the famous Evandale markets are held in the showgrounds, just a 200m walk from the Chapel. Treat yourself to a different experience.

Getting There
Windmill Hill Lodge
We are in the centre of Launceston, about a 20 minute ride from the airport by taxi or the Airport Skybus. Hire cars are available at the airport. If you are driving, proceed into the city on the one way system into Bathurst Street. Turn right into Elizabeth Street. Stay on Elizabeth where you will go through four sets of traffic lights and climb a steep hill to a roundabout at the top of the hill. Turn left into High Street and we are at number 22 which is about 200m up on the left. If you are having a problem finding us, just ring and we will direct you to us.
The Old Wesleyan Chapel is in the village of Evandale four minutes from Launceston airport. Turn left out of the airport, straight to Evandale and turn left into the main street which is called Russell Street. The chapel is at number 28 Russell street which is about 500m down on the right hand side.
