Overview
Thredbo YHA, 3 time winners of the Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards (2009/2010/2011), boasts spectacular mountain views. The convenient location within Australia's premier year round ski resort allows guests access to the range of activities within the Kosciuszko National Park. The hostel has a cosy lounge with fireplace, a great meeting area for guests and location of our big screen movies. There is a large self catering kitchen, BBQ and outdoor fireplace. The hostel also offers a drying room, secure ski racks, luggage and bike storage, as well as internet/WiFi access throughout the building.

Getting There
Bus: 400 metres to bus stop. Alpinexpress operates weekend buses Canberra to Thredbo return, June - October. Murrays Coaches and Greyhound Buses offer regular daily services in winter only.

Foot access via Jack Adams Pathway.

Car: Access is from Buckwong Place (off Diggings Terrace). All vehicles must enter and leave the drop off area in a forward direction.

Plane: One hour drive or shuttle bus from Cooma Airport. Two and a half hours from Canberra Airport.

Parking Info
Thredbo offers free overnight parking areas throughout the village - the nearest to the hostel is on the cnr of the Alpine Way & Banjo Dr, a two minute walk.

There is no parking at the YHA. Vehicle drop off area only, access is from Buckwong Place (off Diggings Terrace).
