***The York by Swiss-Belhotel will undertake external painting of the building over the next 10 weeks (13 May – 15 July 2013). During this period scaffolding will be assembled on York, Clarence and Jamison Street to ensure pedestrian safety.***


With 120 suites ranging from Studio Apartments to Two Bedroom Executive Apartments, The York by Swiss-Belhotel offers a home away from home complete with fully equipped kitchen, laundry, separate bath and shower, open plan lounge and dining area and spacious open air balconies. Suites are serviced daily.

The building offers secure parking, 24 hour security and reception that are able to assist with restaurant bookings, car hire, babysitting services and day trips. Room service and dining options are available on site.

Our apartments start at double the size of a standard hotel room and larger apartments that can accommodate a family of 6 are also available, making them ideal for overnight, short term and long term stays.

Positioned on the door step of Sydney's icons, nightlife and entertainment precinct, international shopping district and corporate and financial hub- The York by Swiss-Belhotel's location is superb.

Escape the city with our garden sanctuary and experience the gym, sauna, outdoor heated pool and spa or enjoy the latest in-room entertainment with IP TV and Video on Demand so you can watch high quality recently released movies, digital television and selected Foxtel channels.

Although it is only a short walk to the Harbour, we do not offer panoramic views or views of the famous landmarks from any apartment.

Credit card payments will incur a 2% credit card transaction fee. Guests may choose to change the method of payment on check-out to cash or EFTPOS as these methods of payment do not attract this fee.

Business Facilities
Daily and Weekly internet access is available at cost. The Business Centre is opened from 6am until 10pm.

Getting There
We recommend one of the following methods of transport to reach us from the Airport:

* Shuttle Bus ~ Located outside the Airport Terminal and costing around AUD $16.00 per person one way. It can, however, be time consuming, as the Shuttle Bus also stops at other Hotels in the city area, depending upon the number of Guests travelling.

* Taxi ~ Located in the Taxi rank outside the Airport Terminal. Although we are only 14km from the Airport, the cost varies depending upon the time of day, ranging between AUD $30.00 and $60.00. Peak hour traffic occurs between 7am~930am and again 430pm~7pm, which delays entry in and out of the city centre.

* Train ~ Located at the end of the Airport, trains run every 10~15 minutes into the City. It is best to board a train that stops at Wynyard Station, which is located only a 3 minute walk from the Hotel. The cost is around AUD $16.00 per Adult one way.

* Private Hire ~ A Limousine or Private Mini Bus can be arranged with prior notice but will be more expensive. A sedan style limousine will cost approximately AUD$110.00 one way and flight details are required to make the booking.

Parking Info
The York by Swiss-Belhotel has 5 Levels of security parking in the building, available at AUD $30.00 per day per car and the charge can be settled upon departure.

The access to our car park is from the back of the building on Margaret Street, in between York & Clarence Street.

Once you have reached the gate there is an intercom leading to reception on your right hand side, where you can let reception know you have arrived and they can open the gate for you. Please park your vehicle in a non-reserved space to avoid a fine. The height is 2 metres.

The car park entrance is off Margaret Street (between York & Clarence Streets). Enter the laneway behind the Travelodge Hotel.

Trailers, mini caravans or motor homes are not able to be accommodated.
