Getting There
Phillip Island is an easy two hour drive from the heart of Melbourne, with dual lane highway conditions for most of the journey and excellent signposting.
To reach Phillip Island from Melbourne, visitors should take the South Eastern Freeway (M1) to the Cranbourne exit, then turn left onto the South Gippsland Highway (M420), travelling through Cranbourne and Tooradin. The South Gippsland Highway becomes the Bass Highway (A420) at the Korumburra turn-off. Continue straight along the Bass Highway though Grantville to the roundabout at Anderson. Turn right onto the Phillip Island Tourist Road (B420) through to San Remo, and then drive over the bridge to arrive on Phillip Island.
A V-Line bus service operates to and from Melbourne daily, stopping at Grantville, Corinella, Bass, San Remo, Newhaven and Cowes.
