Overview
The Observatory Hotel has won a number of prestigious national and international awards ensuring it remains as Australia's most nominated & awarded 5-star hotel.
Designed to blend in with Sydney's historic Rocks district, the five star Observatory Hotel is part of the famous Orient-Express collection of properties. Reminiscent of a grand 19th century Australian home, this 100 room deluxe hotel is luxuriously furnished with Australian antiques, original oil paintings and fine tapestries.
The Observatory Hotel is located in The Rocks historic precinct of Sydney and offers a new and refreshingly different hotel experience. Spacious, elegant, beautifully appointed, the 100 rooms and suites at The Observatory Hotel are designed to meet the needs of the most fastidious guest.
The Observatory Hotel is the ultimate in opulence. Its comfort, style and attention to detail are reflected in all the hotel suites and rooms.
Renowned for its fine cuisine, ranging from elegant dining in the Galileo Restaurant to a light menu in the club-like Globe Bar.
Jonathan Bruell has recently taken up the position of Kitchen and Beverage Director for Galileo. Bruell's style of cuisine is a wonderful combination of Australian produce and innovative modern cuisine, served in an atmosphere reminiscent of a grand Parisian salon.
What better way to relax than by a visit to the Observatory Day Spa, with a wide choice of body and skin treatments, including facials, body wraps and massage.
Pets are allowed at the property, provided they are domesticated and under 20kg. A charge of $50.00 per pet, per night applies and must be paid in advance on arrival. Pets must be on a lead in all public areas of the hotel, lobby, hallways and surrounds. We would recommend cats to be brought in and out of the hotel in a cat carry box. Pets may not enter any restaurant, the health club, swimming pool area or bar. Pets are not to be left alone in the guest rooms and are to refrain from sitting on the couches, chairs, etc within the lounge areas of the hotel.
*We highly recommend that Galileo Restaurant and Day Spa Bookings are made prior to arrival, to avoid disappointments*
