Getting There
If arriving from the Queenstown direction, follow the signs to the town centre. You will drive down a very steep hill and see the beautiful harbour on your left. At the base of this hill, our Reception is over the road and facing you.
Continue straight for a short distance, turn left towards the water after the Strahan Seaplane office, and park AWAY FROM THE WHARF EDGE for the short time you need to check in. We are next to the office with the round windows.
If arriving from the Zeehan direction, follow the signs to the centre of town, turn right at the Visitor Information Centre. You are now facing the water. Park AWAY FROM THE WHARF EDGE and walk to our Reception keeping the harbour on your right. We are next to the office with the round windows. We have a sign on the footpath which says "Cooked Crayfish for Sale".
If driving from HOBART, please allow about 5 hours, as although the scenery is spectacular, the road is quite windy. We suggest a stop at ?The Wall In The Wilderness? just before Derwent Bridge; a cupper at Derwent Bridge; and if time, drive into Lake St. Clair.
From LAUNCESTON allow 4.5 hours, DEVONPORT 3.5 hours, BURNIE 3 hours and Cradle Mountain 2 hours, and come through ZEEHAN to Strahan. At Zeehan, 35 minutes from Strahan, there is a wonderful museum.
