Overview
The Ashwood Motor Inn has 55 units, 48 of which are on the ground floor. We are located one hour north of Sydney CBD by car, rail or ferry and one hour south-east of the Hunter Valley wine region and Barrington Tops National Park.

Australian Colonial Style Motel complex on two acres. Units surround a large central recreational area including swimming pool, BBQ and paved outdoor seating/dining area adjacent to 100 seat dining room, all in a relaxed garden setting. Our location on the beautiful NSW Central Coast provides a comfortable and affordable base from which to see not only the Central Coast but also the most popular tourist destinations in NSW particularly Sydney and the Hunter Valley.

Walking distance to West Gosford shopping centre and to several restaurants and take-away food outlets.

Local attractions include many kilometres of clean, sandy surf beaches, the Hawkesbury River, (river cruises, swimming, fishing, boating), The Australian Reptile and Wildlife Park, a comprehensive and varied list of restaurants, cafes and clubs, galleries and open gardens, Erina Fair, one of the largest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere, a wide range of excellent sporting facilities, Gosford Race Club.

Getting There
From Sydney Airport: Take train to Central Station and train or bus to Gosford.
By car: Head north out of Sydney Via Harbour Bridge or Harbour Tunnel, Lane Cove Tunnel, M2 Motorway north to Pennant Hills Road Exit, head east on Pennant Hills Road towards Wahroonga (following signs to Newcastle) and turn onto the F3 Freeway at Wahroonga (again following signs to Newcastle and the North Coast) Follow directions below.
By Car: Take the F3 Freeway north from Sydney or south from Newcastle. Take the Central Coast Highway exit to Gosford from the Freeway (also known as the Kariong Interchange). Follow signs. From Kariong follow a winding, downhill, 2-lane section of the road. Proceed through two sets of traffic lights at the bottom of the hill. Beyond this point the road is level and there are two lanes of traffic in each direction. The Ashwood Motor Inn is at 73 Central Coast Highway, on the left, 200 metres south (toward Gosford) of the second set of lights (Mann's Road intersection). Officeworks and Spotlight store are opposite. McDonalds 200 metres further on.

By taxi: A short taxi ride from Gosford railway station, 1km away.

By bus: Local buses from Gosford Railway Station stop directly opposite The Ashwood. Touring coaches from Sydney and Newcastle travel regularly to Gosford. Set down points vary, many companies will set down at the door.

By Train: Gosford is approximately 1 hour north of Sydney and 1 hour south of Newcastle, by train. Goford Railway Station is 1 kilometre north of the Ashwood. Local buses and taxis at the station.
