Only a 75-minute cruise across Moreton Bay by a high-speed catamaran from Brisbane, the resort is a perfect destination if you are seeking a unique adventure or nature based experience in a truly relaxed environment right on Brisbane's doorstep!

A highlight of any stay is the opportunity to interact closely with nature. All guests have the opportunity to view the wild dolphins nightly, with commentary by an Eco Ranger from the Marine Education and Conservation Centre. In the mornings the resident pelicans and cormorants enjoy a bucket or two of fish hand fed to them on the beach. When visiting during the whale migration season from June to the end of October, you can partake in the Whale-watching cruise and catch a close view of these majestic mammals.

Rejuvenate yourself with a range of over 80 adventure or nature based tours and activities. The resort's desert safari tour allows guests to participate in the thrilling sport of sand tobogganing down a 70 metre high sand dune whilst reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour- it's exhilarating fun! Other things to see and do include four wheel drive, ATV quad bike tours, marine discovery cruises, parasailing, snorkelling, scuba diving, banana boat rides, helicopter joy flights and much more.

Choose from a variety of dining options and facilities at the resort including Tursiops Buffet Restaurant, the Beach House Rotunda Restaurant, the Beach Cafe, Coffee Shop and resort shop.

Stay within 50 metres of the beach amongst landscaped gardens and natural bush land in a range of accommodation options to suit every style and budget. Choose from air-conditioned hotel rooms, self-contained resort units and suites or luxurious two-storey beachfront villas.

Or, choose to stay in one of our contemporary island holiday homes with spectacular views of Moreton Bay! Modern and spacious, these 2-to-3-storey, 3-to-4-bedroom houses are individually furnished giving each property its own unique style. Complete with everything you need to enjoy a relaxed and carefree holiday, each property has a stainless steel kitchen featuring modern utensils and appliances, and a laundry with washing machine and dryer. Located only a 15 minute walk from the resort centre, buggy hire is available on request at an additional cost. Linen packs and room cleaning are not included, however can be purchased at an additional cost (see below).

Linen Costs (Holiday Houses only):

Linen Pack: $70 base cost plus $10 per person (will be in house on arrival). This pack includes tea towels, bath mats, hand towels, sheets for bedding and bath towels for each person.

LAUNCH TRANSFER INFORMATION:

Guests will automatically be booked on the 10am launch from Brisbane to Tangalooma on the day of arrival and the 4.00pm launch from Tangalooma to Brisbane on the day of departure (subject to availability). Other launch times are available. Please reconfirm your booking at least 24 hours prior to arrival by contacting Tangalooma directly.
Launch fares are an additional cost of $80 per adult and $45 per child (3-14 years inclusive) return, payable on arrival at Holt St Wharf.

Getting There
Tangalooma runs three high speed passenger catamaran services from the wharf at Holt Street, Pinkenba in Brisbane to the resort on Moreton Island. Launches depart daily from Holt St Wharf, Pinkenba to Tangalooma at 7.00am, 10.00am and 5.00pm. There is an additional service to the island on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 12.30pm.
The launch departs Tangalooma daily at 8.30am, 4.00pm and 7.00pm. There is an additional service on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 2.00pm.

Guests will automatically be booked on the 10am launch from Brisbane to Tangalooma on the day of arrival and the 4.00pm launch from Tangalooma to Brisbane on the day of departure (subject to availability). Guests are required to check in at Holt St Wharf at least 30 minutes prior to departure time. If you require launches at other times, please contact Tangalooma. Please reconfirm your booking at least 24 hours prior to arrival by contacting Tangalooma directly.

If launch services are not required, please advise Tangalooma when making your booking online, or call directly to advise. Failure to do so will incur a 50% cancellation fee on any unused services we have held on your behalf.

Holt Street wharf is situated approximately 1km downstream from the Gateway Bridge on the north bank of the Brisbane River. It is approximately 15 minutes drive from Brisbane Airport and 20 minutes drive from Brisbane City.

Driving to Our Wharf:
From the City and Western Suburbs: - head along Kingsford Smith Drive, then approximately 2km past the Gateway Motorway overpass, turn right into Holt Street and follow to the end until you arrive at the Tangalooma terminal.
From the Gold Coast and South:- Follow the Gateway motorway then take exit 106 to Kingsford Smith Drive. Turn right under the overpass, head along Kingsford Smith Drive for approximately 1km then turn right into Holt Street and follow to the end.
From the Sunshine Coast and North:- Follow the Gateway motorway then take exit 110 (Old Gateway Motorway exit). Take the third exit (Eagle Farm, Kingsford Smith Drive exit) off the Southern Cross Way (Old Gateway Motorway), then veer left onto Links Avenue North. When you reach the end of Links Avenue North, turn right along Kingsford Smith Drive for approximately 1.5 km then right into Holt Street and follow to the end.

Transfer Coach from City to the Wharf:

Vehicle Ferry:
A vehicle ferry (four wheel drive only) runs from Brisbane to Moreton Island on a daily basis - Contact Moreton Island Ferries for details.

Parking Info
Holt Street Wharf has ample parking, the current charge is $15.00 per day, or part thereof, and $60.00 per week. The parking area is not under cover nor guaranteed secure, but is a locked-up and fenced area.
