A delightful little coastal town renowned for its excellent surfing beach, Cabarita is an ideal holiday venue. The original name for this pretty little town is Bogangar, an Aboriginal word meaning 'place of many pippies’, which refers to the ancient ceremonial shell middens in the area.

Cabarita Beach boasts an ideal climate, it has moderate summer temperatures with the average maximum of 29°C and during winter it has an average maximum of 21°C.

With 37 kms of natural coastline, wetlands, estuarine forests, lush pastoral and farm land, the entire basin of the Tweed River and mountainous regions contain three world-heritage listed national parks. The Tweed Coast boasts a unique and diverse environment. From the unspoilt, uncrowded beaches to the lush World Heritage rainforests, it is a region of contrasts and contradictions that offers a truly memorable holiday experience.

Getting There
From Coolangatta Airport: Take the Pacific Highway south towards Ballina. Turn off the highway at the Cudgen/Kingscliff exit (BP Petrol Station). Follow round to the left, approximately 10km to Cabarita Beach. The first street on the right into Cabarita Beach is Tamarind Avenue. The resort is 800m on the right.

From Sydney: Travel north up the Pacific Highway. Turn off highway to the Pottsville/Hastings Point exit and follow the signs to Cabarita Beach, approximately 14km. Travel through Cabarita Beach township and the second street on the left after the pedestrian crossing is Tamarind Avenue. The resort is 800m on the right.
