Overview
Sydney Backpackers is well known to many individuals and groups visiting Sydney and is given lots of positive feedbacks and compliments for our good service and know-how. We are situated in a quiet and safe laneway which is adjacent to the main street between George and Pitt Street. We can proudly say that our location cannot be beaten if you are looking to stay somewhere decent right in the centre of the city within a limited budget.

We have rooms to accommodate up to 140 people from singles to 10 bed dorms. The hostel is in walking distance to everywhere in Sydney for sightseeing (Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and heaps more attractions) and everything you need (shopping centres, supermarkets, cinema, restaurants, clubs and transport). Sydney Backpackers is one of fice hostels in Sydney able to cater to major groups. We were also awarded ?WINNER OF 2006 CITY OF SYDNEY BUSINESS AWARDS? for outstanding backpacker in year 2006 and nominated as a finalist in 2010.

Getting There
From the airport (domestic and international terminal), there are various forms of transport for you to use such as train, bus and cab.

Shuttle bus - A shuttle bus pick up service can be arranged for our guests, you can simply give us a call when you arrive at the airport and have your luggage collected. We will ask you to wait in the meeting point according to your point of arrival. The shuttle bus service will pick you up from the meeting point and drop you at our doorsteps. The travelling time is approximately 30 to 60 minutes depending on the traffic and the timing for the shuttle bus operation is from 5.00am to 7.00pm.

Train - To take a train, you have to go to the train services within the airport and get off at Town Hall station and we are just 30 metres from the station entrance. Once you take the exit to George Street, you will find us in the laneway which is opposite to the Greater Union Cinemas next to Star Bar. The travelling time on the train is 15 to 20 minutes and the train services are available every 15 minutes.

Cab - If you are taking a cab, you have to tell the driver our address and the cab will bring you here. The travelling time is approximately 30 minutes.

There is no parking available at the hostel. On-street parking and public car parking facilities available nearby.
