Stewarts Bay Lodge is a unique and award winning escape. Featuring two styles of accommodation - new, magnificent and contemporary one and two bedroom (two bathroom) Lodges all with spa baths and large sunny decks with glorious views and spacious and comfortable 1,2 & 3 bedroom Cabins. All room types feature full kitchens, laundries,TVs, dvd players and stylish and contemporary furnishings and are ideal for families or couples. With absolute waterfrontage to stunning Stewarts and Ladies Bays and their picturesque sheltered beaches the views are unforgettable.
Taylors our stuning onsite waterfront restaurant is ideal for intimate dinners, casual drinks, weddings and conferences. The restaurant is open 7 days for brekfast and 5 days for lunch and dinner(closed Tuesday and Wednesday lunch and dinner).

A short stroll along the coastal track takes you to Australia's most significant and profound historic site, Port Arthur. The convict past enshrined there is one of the defining elements of what it is to be Australian. On the way to the site you will pass by Ladies Bay, where the Officers wives once bathed out of sight of the convicts only 100 metres away. Other activites on offer could include a game of tennis on our court, use the kids playground and the BBQ area. You can also join an adrenaline paced tour by sea of the peninsula leaving daily from our jetty.
Set in bushland, don't be surprised if you have a close encounter with a wallaby, wombat or echidna whilst staying at Stewarts Bay Lodge. Tasmania's famed Black Cockatoos and Green Rosellas are also frequent visitors.

Unwind on one of our two pristine beaches, drop a line off the jetty or just sit back on your sundeck. If you feel more energetic, you might like to take one of the fabulous walks or indulge in one of the other exciting activities in the local area (see Things To Do).

Getting There
If driving, Stewarts Bay Lodge is 1hr 15 mins from Hobart. Take the road to Sorell and proceed along the Arthur Highway to Port Arthur. Stewarts Bay Lodge is on the left before the historic site turn-off.
Daily coach services run from Hobart. Or you could take a catamaran cruise from Hobart to Port Arthur.
