Enjoy the ambience of yesteryear when staying at Rosie's Inn, an elegant 4 Star boutique B&B offering the comforts of motel-style facilities. Situated in the historic town of New Norfolk, the commercial capital of the Derwent Valley, our spacious inn is located in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by delightful award-winning English-style gardens, at their most colourful from September 1st to June 30th. Meandering grassy paths beneath 20-year-old trees will tempt you to explore a garden filled with the scent of boronia, the elegance of roses, the tall splendour of foxgloves and irises and the many camellias, rhododendrons, spring bulbs, magnolias and spectacular flowering cherry trees. All just a minutes walk from the Derwent River, 30 minutes from Hobart or Mt. Field National Park and 45 minutes from the Hobart Airport.

Rosie's offers 13 individually decorated accommodation units each with a modern ensuite bathroom. Our spacious deluxe suites offer you the luxury of a queen sized bed, your own lounge with soft comfortable chairs for relaxing and watching TV, a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, large fluffy towels and a range of toiletries. At Rosies we provide such little extras as a range of wine glasses, bottle opener, magazines, travel repair kit and luggage storage areas and a complimentary port and sweets.

All suites are electrically heated for the cooler months and we also take pride in servicing your room daily. Your stay with us includes a complimentary continental breakfast served in the dining room overlooking the garden. Enjoy a choice of cereals, fruit juices, fresh and preserved fruit, Tasmanian yoghurts, toast and Rosies homemade jams and marmalades each morning. A cooked breakfast is available at extra cost with Rosies ambrosial omelettes a house specialty. Rosies has a non-smoking policy indoors and our deluxe suites are adult only accommodation.

Getting There
From the Hobart Airport, take second exit onto the Tasman Highway which will lead you to the Tasman Bridge (towards Hobart)
Exiting Tasman Bridge bear left toward Glenorchy and Launceston via Queens Domain
Bear left after the overpass to Brooker Avenue (A1) toward Launceston
Bear left at Granton changing to Lyell Highway (A10) toward New Norfolk
Entering New Norfolk, take the second exit on the first roundabout continuing on Lyell Highway towards Queenstown
At the second roundabout, take the third exit, cross the bridge over the River Derwent
Turn right at the T intersection at the end of the bridge onto Boyer Road (B10)
Take the second left from Boyer Road onto Oast Street
Rosies Inn is situated at the top of the cul-de-sac.

If you are coming from Launceston on the A1 do not cross the Bridgewater Bridge at Bridgewater. At the McDonalds roundabout, take the B10 to Boyer and continue onto New Norfolk. Once you reach the town boundary sign, continue along the B10 and we are the third turn off on the right (Third Avenue, then Golding Street and finally Oast Street where we are located).

Even though the map will indicate railway access to New Norfolk there are NO trains operating on this line. It is a disused line.
