Overview
Small, family operated old Hotel offers beautifully renovated, clean and spacious rooms down a quiet leafy backstreet away from the hussle and bussle. Cooks Hill is home to the trendy Darby St and is very close to Newcastle's lovely beaches, Merewether and Bar Beach and the CBD.

The Hotel is renowned for its range of fresh, chilled, delicious craft beers.

The funky restuarant serves delicious gourmet Italian pizzas 7 nights a week and various lunches.

The accommodation has recently been renovated to a tasteful, excellent standard.

We have eight rooms in total (non-smoking): three Queen rooms, four Twin rooms and one Single room. All single beds are king size.

There are two modern bathrooms (separate toilets) and a shared common kitchen with facilities for preparation of light meals with a microwave, fridge and toaster.

Whilst our rooms are located above the bar and function areas, our quiet residential location requires all entertainment ceases by 10pm and the bar is closed by midnight.

Do yourself a favour- drop in to the Oriental Hotel whether for a beer, a night or a weekend.

Check-in available from 2pm onwards, but we are flexible if you would like to come earlier.

If you'll be arriving after 9pm any night of the week, please call us to let us know. We can also arrange late check outs.
