Overview
Here at Murwillumbah, Mt. Warning Backpackers YHA, stunning views can be seen from our verandah. We have riverside gardens and peaceful swimming. The home was built in 1922 as a river captain’s home and the architecture and character has been maintained, however bright colours and quirky decor have been added to provide a happy atmosphere. Free ice cream is served at 9pm to gather guests together for conversation and board games. The homely hostel has a fully equipped communal kitchen, shared TV lounge, shared dining room, shared bathrooms, four double /twin rooms, an eight bed male room and an eight bed female room.

Getting There
Follow Wollumbin or Alma Street into Murwillumbah the at the roundabout turn onto Commercial Road (towards the Australian Tavern). Follow to the end of the street and turn right onto Tumbulgum Road. We will be on the left.

The YHA is located on the opposite side of the river to the Information Centre near the bus station.

It is 700 metres from the hostel to train station. Daily services run to/from Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

30km to the Airport at Coolangatta. Daily flights from Sydney.

350m to the northerly bus.
700m to the southerly bus.
Daily services to/from Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
