Mokutu (pronounced Mock-Koo-Too) is a tranquil retreat from the everyday nestled in the Norfolk countryside. The entire property has been renovated since the last star rating and we are now expecting a 3.5 to 4 star rating. Famous for its A-Frame architecture and views, the iconic self contained apartments have recently undergone a new makeover. Coupled with additional facilities including swimming pool, catering cabana, yoga deck, bbqs, cafe and modern conference room, Mokutu houses everything for the discerning traveller looking for a difference.

Located far enough away to enjoy the peace yet close enough to all the island has to offer, a short drive will allow you to navigate all of the unique history, culture and beauty that is Norfolk Island. Near by to beautiful Ball Bay, Steeles point and only minutes from the historic town of Kingston where you will find our beaches, lagoon, and golf course.

During the convict period the land was used as part of a large station though now only an old farm house from a latter era remains that now built around is our cafe.

Sitting atop a grassy ridge Mokutu is surrounded by small paddocks, some with horses others with cows. Mokutu offers apartments that connect with the island its art, culture and history. When you stay with us we provide much more than just another room that could be anywhere in the world. We love our island and try to reflect what is so special about it with everything that we do. Relax in a place that makes you feel like your on holiday for the most memorable experience we can provide.

***Currently we are renovating Mokutu's Cafe. We hope by July 2010 to have the Cafe fully operational.***

Business Facilities
Next to the Mokutu cafe is our function room that is perfect for smaller groups of less than 50 people. In this room you will find a projector, white boards and other equipment that you can use for any kind of presentation. Walking outside leads directly onto the Cafe deck with incredible 180 degree views over the island.

Wireless internet is also available on the property.

Getting There
The property is located along Stockyard Road past Ball Bay on the way to Steeles point. As we imagine you may not at first find it we prefer to show you the way when you arrive and then after that leave you the option of getting lost in the wonders of the island for the rest of your holiday.
