The hotel, one of Canberra’s first, opened its’ doors in 1927 and even after a recent $8 million refurbishment, still maintains many original features. Set around an impressive internal courtyard, the hotel is the ideal place to unwind after a hard day at work, or relax after exploring the many tourist attractions or outdoor activities that Canberra has to offer.
Superbly located, the hotel is moments from the city centres’ shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment as well as the National Convention Centre and many of Canberra’s Government agencies. Mercure Canberra offers two dining options, Courtyard Restaurant open for breakfast daily and a la carte dinner Tuesday to Saturday (closed for dinner mid December to end January). Alternatively the Ainslie Bar/Bistro and Beer Garden is open for lunch and dinner every day of the year for a more casual dining experience.

Mercure Canberra offers three meeting rooms, with capacity to seat from two to 200 people and an outdoor terrace that can host an event for up to 80. A dedicated events specialist will be assigned to your event and you can relax knowing that we look after everything, even the environment – as all Mercure Meetings are certified Carbon neutral
The hotel also boasts a business centre in the lobby, with 30 minutes free internet connectivity per guest, per day. Wifi is available throughout the hotel, including guest rooms

Mercure Canberra is located on the Corner of Ainslie and Limestone Avenues, Braddon, near the city centre and close to the Australian War Memorial
Parking Info
The hotel offers ample complimentary off street parking to in house guests as well as guests attending functions or utilising our two restaurants and bar. There are some parking spaces at the front of the hotel, with plenty of parking spaces located at the rear of the hotel. Access to the hotel is available from both parking areas
