Our quiet rooms are very inviting with many personal touches and an eye for detail. Take a rest and recreate on the comfortable queen beds, Have a cuppa,a glass of fine Mudge wine or simply recline on the cosy sofa and watch all the channels on Austar TV. Just make yourself at home, watch the birds, have a dip in the towns biggest pool, dine at the Flinders Restaurant,grab a Pizza at the onsite Pizzeria or have a relaxing drink poolside under the stars. With 41 ground floor rooms, the property is set on spacious grounds with gum trees and prolific bird life. The large saltwater pool is strategically situated in a central position making it very accessable to all rooms ensuring safety and fun for all.The property is ideally located 1km south of the Information Centre and close to town. All rooms have heating and cooling, electric blankets on all beds, tea and coffee making facilties, irons & ironing boards and TV (Austar in selected rooms). Pets are catered for with dedicated Pet Rooms available. An easy drive to Australia's largest telescope at Mt Siding Observatory and also the wonders of the Warrumbungle National Park.

Getting There
The Matthew Flinders Motor Inn is located at the southern end of Coonabarabran, 1km south of the information centre. If you are driving from the north, drive straight through the town centre and continue on for 1.5kms, we are on the left with a bright red sign.
If you are driving from the south, we are located just as you come into Coonabarabran, on the right hand side of the road, 400 metres from the "Welcome to Coonabarabran" sign.

Ample car parking is available directly outside your room. Larger vehicles can also be accommodated. Trailers, Boats,Planes,Coaches,Trucks,Skateboards, Army Tanks, Semis...We can take em all with ease. The large circular carpark affords easy manourverability and provides safe and secure parking
