Overview
Situated on 11 acres of lush green native gardens with views from all rooms over surrounding hills and valleys the lodge is an ideal place to stay. Located on the Atherton Tablelands just over an hours drive from Cairns the lodge is the perfect place to use whilst visiting all our region has to offer. A break from the tropical climate of Cairns and close or on the way to all major attractions such as the Dairy Farmers Factory Tours and Interpretive centre, Barrine and Eacham lakes, Innot Hot Springs, Undarra Lava Tubes, The Craters, Curtain Fig Tree etc, Ravenshoe Wind Farm, Malanda and Millaa Millaa Falls, birdwatching at the Bromfield Swamp. We even have our own platypus viewing.
Although not self contained all rooms come with your own ensuite, tea coffee making facilities, cable tv, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, reverse cycle airconditioning, 24 hr phones, baths in most rooms and quality guest amenities. In conjunction with the motel an 80 seat alacarte restaraunt with cocktail bar located poolside with log fire for those cool winter months. Meals start from $18.50. Pots of beer from $2.50.

Getting There
Only an hour or so from Cairns travel to Malanda by car taking the main Bruce Highway south of Cairns. Turn off the highway at Gordonvale and travel up the picturesque Gillies range. On reaching the top of the range a few kilometres on you will see the turnoff to Lake Eacham and Malanda. Once you have passed the turn off to Lake Eacham on approaching Malanda look for the Dairy Farmers milk and cheese factory and turn left. We are just a kilometre out on the outskirts of Malanda. Next right after the Mobil Service Station.
If travelling from Townsville just north of Innisfail turn left and travel the Palmerston Highway thru Millaa Millaa and we are just on the left as you approach Malanda outskirts. As you enter the 80km speed zone look for us on your left.
One could also travel to Kuranda just north of Cairns and travel up the Kuranda range thru Mareeba and into Atherton with turning left at Mc Donalds. As you enter the township of Malanda look for the dairy factory. Turn right on to Millaa Millaa Road and we are one kilometre out on the right hand side.
