Lavendale Farm is situated 15km south of York in Western Australia on the banks of the Avon River. The property is approximately 64ha of gently sloping land lying between Great Southern Highway and the river. There is a 2.5km river frontage which is fenced off from the main farming activities. All of the river bank area is natural bush and the property is a ?Land for Wildlife? site. The guest room for singles or couples is elegantly furnished and has a huge ensuite bathroom with bath. Our cottages are self contained. We have horses, ponies and donkeys, alpacas and a couple of pet sheep who are very friendly. We also have Dexter cattle, two pigs and an ostrich. One third of the farm is share cropped with wheat. We have 8ha of sandalwood plantation and 3ha of nut plantations. Lavendale Farm is a place to come and relax under the wide verandahs, watch the animals graze and walk among the vast array of native Australian trees which have been planted as shelter belts and hosts in the sandalwood plantation.
