Overview
Lake Crackenback is a 4.5 star resort offering fully self contained Overwater Apartments and Mountain View Chalets. Nestled in the Thredbo Valley on the border of the Kosciuszko National Park, Lake Crackenback Resort is a spectacular 150 acre hidden oasis of natural bushland and is yours to enjoy.

The resort boasts its own waterfront restaurant Cuisine on Lake Crackenback Restaurant and Bar offering an a la carte regionally inspired menu. For those who prefer to stay in the comfort of their own apartment or chalet there is a takeaway service available. In addition, relax and rejunvenate with a treatment in The Spa at Lake Crackenback.

Whether your stay is for a summer getaway with your loved one, family or friends or for snow sports in winter, a conference or wedding celebration, the resorts idyllic setting offers guests the feeling that time is plentiful.

During winter the resort offers guests close access to ski resorts Thredbo and Perisher. Its location is a 15 minutes drive from Thredbo along the Alpine Way while Perisher is accessable via the resorts private driveway to the Alpine Skitube. A complimentary shuttle service to the Skitube is available for resort guests (winter only).

The resort's tranquil and relaxing atmosphere allows guests to simply be at one with nature or roam free with the many complimentary activities on offer.

Getting There
Lake Crackenback is an easy 2 hour drive from Canberra, a 5 hour drive from Sydney or 7 hours from Melbourne with half the distance on freeway and standard roads.

From Canberra follow the Monaro Highway to Cooma. Go straight through Cooma on the Snowy Mountains Highway to Jindabyne. Go straight through Jindabyne on the Kosciuszko Road for 5 kms. Turn left on the Alpine Way for 16 more kms and Lake Crackenback Resort will be on your right hand side.

By Air
Canberra Airport, Candberra is approximately 2 hours driving time, from Lake Crackenback Resort and 45 minutes flying time from Sydney.

Canberra Airport is a 2.5 hour drive from Lake Crackenback Resort and 40 minutes flight from Sydney. Shuttle services meet Sydney flights by arrangement.

Airport Shuttle
Snow Express Shuttle meets all flights to and from Snowy Mountains Airport.

Hire Cars
Airport car hire is available from Snowy Mountains Airport, (ask for the special Novotel rate). Rental cars are available from Canberra Airport.

Parking Info
Each chalet has designated parking with some offering undercover or garage spaces. Extra parking is available for use throughout the resort at no extra charge.
