Overview
Lake Bennett Wilderness Resort is influenced by the cultural diversity and distinct Australian Outback characteristics of the Northern Territory. 2002 winner of the Brolga Award for “Unique Accommodation” we are located just 87 km from Darwin City.

The Resort is set around the shores of an 81 hectare fresh water lake located within 125 hectares of tropical Australian bushland.

We have a range of accommodation to suit individual tastes and budgets, and for coach companies and group bookings. The style of accommodation has been constructed with both conservation and integration in mind, ensuring the bungalows are unobtrusive along the waters edge. Inside, the facilities are remarkable, comfortable and relaxing, just the way you need it after a long day out on the water or in the nearby bush.

This is a fully catered for and functional holiday resort. Lake Bennett is a photographer's dream with just so much available. The exceptional bird life, local fauna and picturesque landscapes. Reed beds hide a variety of unspoilt aquatic life from wading birds to fish. This resort is where you unwind from a year of hard work, you put your feet up and just listen and watch nature pass by you. From the adventurous to the relaxing we have something to suit everyone. Activities include bush walking, bird watching and photography or you can take to the pristine water of the lake by canoe.

We also cater for weddings, birthday parties and all special occasions.

Lake Bennett Wilderness Resort is the perfect alternative to stuffy offices and boardrooms with 8 executive lake view spa suites, 15 garden wing motel rooms and 10 air-conditioned budget rooms, and a conference capacity of 33 for single accommodation and 90 for shared.

Our well-appointed conference room and licensed bar & restaurant overlook the tranquil fresh water lake. We have a dedicated and experienced team, which fully understands the needs of our clients, with you, our guests being our number one priority.

Full catering facilities are available from our fully licensed bar and restaurant, it is all up to you to select from our various menus for your special event. Otherwise we will gladly help you with selection or you could suggest fresh ideas of your own.

Because of our unique location this is one of the venues in Australia where you can plan an alfresco dining experience, BBQ, wedding or cocktail party during the months of April to September with our perfect “Dry Season” weather, amazing sunsets and spectacular sky scapes.
