Overview
Kooringal is an aboriginal word meaning “home near the water” which aptly describes this secluded retreat. This 4 star Australian style homestead features wide verandahs and is set on 13 acres of scenic bush gardens. There are magnificent views over the Barossa Ranges and the Barossa Reservoir, home of the famous ‘Whispering Wall’. At sunset guests may catch glimpses of the abundant birds and wildlife.

There are four guest suites in total, with a combination of self-contained suites, self-catering facilities such as guest kitchen and dining room and outdoor recreation cooking facilities. An informal lounge provides television and games. Evaporative air conditioning makes light of any warm weather.
Our dining room can be adapted to suit the needs of groups or couples. Breakfast is cooked in the guest kitchen adjacent to the dining room and is served at a time convenient to the guest.
Guests may choose from continental or full English breakfast.

Kooringal Homestead is centrally located at the Southern end of the Barossa, just one hour drive to Adelaide Hills’ attractions and a short 1 hour drive to Adelaide CBD.

Getting There
The drive from the nearest airport, Adelaide, is about one and a half hours.

When driving from Tanunda –
Take main road (B19) South through Rowland Flat to Lyndoch. At the cross roads in Lyndoch turn left to Williamstown (B31). Entering Williamstown pass the school on your left. Take the next turn right, Yettie Rd, which has a blue signpost to Kooringal. The entrance to the homestead is on the left approximately 3km from Williamstown. This drive should take approximately 20 minutes from Tanunda.

When driving from Adelaide -
Take main North Road (A20) to Gawler. At the traffic lights at the top of the main street turn right (B19 sign posted Barossa Valley & Lyndoch). After travelling for approximately 6km turn right at the Sandy Creek Hotel (signposted Williamstown). Continue for 4km, passing the Cockatoo Valley General Store on your left. Approximately 1km past the store there is a Y junction. Take the right hand fork (Yettie Rd) Look for the blue sign to Kooringal. Go up the hill and past the turning to the Barossa Reservoir. Look for the yellow 65km bend in the road signs. The property is on the right hand side after the second 65km sign. The homestead is approximately 1 hour from Adelaide center.

Undercover parking for four cars is available at Kooringal Homestead. There is ample off-street parking.
