Keswick Island Guest House is on Keswick Island, a small piece of paradise located at the southern tip of the Whitsundays, just 32 kilometres north east of Mackay.
Keswick Island Guest House is the perfect choice for that quiet holiday, with just 19 permanent residents on Keswick Island; you could have the beach all to yourself.
Located within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, the waters around Keswick Island abound with tropical fish& turtles, & humpback whales pass through during August & September. There are 5 beautiful beaches, accessible on foot or a short boat ride away, plus fabulous fringing reef, perfect for snorkelling, or you can dive the wreck of the Cremer or the Singapore, both easily accessible from Keswick Island.
Keswick Island Guest House has 4 large guest rooms, all featuring king beds and ensuite bathrooms. Paperbark, Blueberry Ash & Pandanus, all located on the ground floor, boast sliding glass doors allowing direct access to our 150 square metre deck with breathtaking views over the Coral Sea and neighbouring Whitsunday Islands.
Paperbark is our largest room, & is situated at the southern end of the house. This room features a king bed with bedside tables and lamps, ceiling fan, 2 seater sofa & ensuite bathroom featuring delightful Tree of Life toiletries. There is a small built in wardrobe and a teak sideboard. Direct access from this room to the main deck showcases fabulous views over the Coral Sea, and a smaller private deck facing Basil Bay provides a private outdoor space to relax. The ensuite bathroom features Louvre windows and overlooks Basil Bay. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Blueberry Ash is a large room, situated in the centre of the house. This room features a king bed, with bedside tables and lamps, ceiling fan, 2 seater sofa and ensuite bathroom featuring delightful Tree of Life toiletries. This room has a small built in wardrobe and a teak chest of drawers. There is direct access from this room to our fabulous deck with panoramic views of the Coral Sea and neighbouring islands. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Pandanus is a large room, situated at the northern end of the house. This room features a king bed, with bedside tables and lamps, ceiling fan, 2 seater sofa and ensuite bathroom featuring delightful Tree of Life toiletries. This room has a small built in wardrobe and 2 small cane chests. This room has direct access to our fabulous deck with panoramic views of the Coral Sea and neighbouring islands. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Driftwood is a compact room located upstairs on the first floor. This room features either an American king bed or 2 king single beds, a ceiling fan, bedside tables & bedside lamps & a large built in wardrobe. Driftwood has a small ensuite bathroom featuring delightful Tree of Life toiletries. This room has views seaward to Wigton & Calder Islands & southwest to Mackay. Driftwood is an ideal choice for teenagers or for guests who prefer twin beds. All meals are included in the room rate. Maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people.
Choose a book from the library and relax, or walk the bush track to Connie Bay and pass beehives that produce the famous Keswick Island honey. Be enchanted as swarms of tiger blue butterflies surround you along the tracks to Connie & Arthur Bays. Swim and snorkel or paddle a kayak in Basil Bay & look for giant clams. See the 1000 year old Cycads on the trail to Arthur Bay or relax in the shade & watch the sea eagles & kites dive for fish.
A variety of tours & activities can be arranged including scuba diving, guided snorkelling tours, kayak tours, scenic light aircraft tours or helicopter tours.
Your holiday at Keswick Island Guest House includes 3 delicious meals each day, along with use of snorkelling gear, kayaks & a golf buggy to explore the island.
After a fabulous day of activities, swap island stories with your fellow guests & enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine from the bar or ask for your favourite cocktail. The Guest House is licensed and there is a selection of beers, wines & spirits to choose from.
Access to Keswick Island is by light aircraft & flying time is just 12 minutes from Mackay. Transfers are available from just $77.00 per person each way. You could be sipping on a cocktail in no time!

Keswick Island Guest House is located on Keswick Island, 32 kilometres off the coast of Mackay. Light aircraft transfers to Keswick Island are provided by Island Air & are at at additional cost.
Transfers are available from $77.00 per person each way from Mackay.

Private cars are not permitted on Keswick Island. A golf buggy is available for guests use.
