Overview
Situated in the heart of the famous Barossa Valley, Jacobs Creek Retreat is an exclusive property offering Boutique Vineyard Accommodation and Organic Wines.

Nestled within the properties extensive gardens is the ancestral homestead of the Nitschke Family. These historic stone buildings, originally built in the 1840's, have been transformed into a selection of Boutique Accommodation Suites, all uniquely designed and furnished to create a world of pure relaxation and tranquillity.

The property has 4 different room types, covering all styles of stay from an overnight getaway, to a weeklong escape.

The Barossa Valley is home to some of the world’s most famous Wines; Penfolds, Henschke, Jacobs Creek, Grant Burge all call the Barossa home. But the Barossa is so much more than just the iconic wineries, with approx 80 cellar doors now operating throughout the region, most family run operations bustling with character and passion for their craft.

Jacobs Creek Retreat is the perfect hideaway in which to then explore and experience this incredible wine region. Let us organise a private chauffeured Tour, taking you to some of the smaller undiscovered Cellar Doors. Or if you prefer to just relax in the Retreat Gardens, let us organise for a masseuse to come see you. Or simply order a selection of the Barossa’s finest cheese and a bottle of Sparkling Shiraz to enjoy under one of the towering red gums.

Getting There
From Adelaide follow Main North Road and travel about 40mins towards Gawler. Take the Gawler exit, go through the town and at the 5th set of traffic lights turn right up Lyndoch Road (a sign will point to the Barossa Valley). Travel approximately 15 minutes, through Lyndoch. At the cross road take a left turn towards Tanunda. After traveling approximately 10 minutes you will arrive at Rowland Flat. As you travel towards Tanunda, you will cross over the Jacobs Creek bridge, travel about 200m and take the next right hand turn which is Koch Road, (dirt road with JCR sign on corner), travel about 1 km over the railway line and take next right hand turn into Nitschke Road (no through Road), drive to the end of this road and enter though the Jacobs Creek "Entrance" pillars.

If traveling from the Barossa
Travel through the town of Tanunda, as you come out of Tanunda there will be a caravan park on your left. Keep following the Barossa Valley Highway, you will see a road to your left called Krondorf road but take the next turn to your left which will be Koch Road, (dirt road with JCR sign on corner), travel about 1 km over the railway line and take next right hand turn into Nitschke Road (no through Road), drive to the end of this road and enter though the Jacobs Creek "Entrance" pillars.
