Overview
Island Palms has been providing quality Magnetic Island accommodation for over 20 years. Our Magnetic Island accommodation and hospitality has seen the Resort win numerous awards.

Our large two bedroom, two bathroom, fully self-contained apartments provide very comfortable accommodation for up to a maximum of six occupants. All our 12 apartments feature reverse-cycle inverter air-conditioning units in each bedroom and the living area, and have their own telephone, flat screen television, DVD/CD player, washing machine & clothes dryer. Our kitchens are well equipped with a good size refrigerator, dishwasher, cook-top, microwave/crisper and other kitchen knick-knacks but if you want a real holiday, we have 5 good restaurants within walking distance and several others only a bus ride away.

PLEASE NOTE: Island Palms Resort is in a 3 story building with stairs accessing all apartments i.e. no lift. Our lowest level apartment is accessed by 16 stairs. There are no ground floor apartments.

The resort has an attractive outdoor swimming pool (heated in the winter months) with an in-pool spa (i.e. not a separate spa); two BBQ areas, one half court tennis and table tennis, with Nelly Bay beach only 150m from the apartments. In-house car hire is also available at some of the most competitive rates you will find on the island.

We'll give you good information on getting to Townsville or the Island, how to see the best of the Island, and tell you where the restaurants are located. Maggie is a relaxed holiday destination, with stunning and private bays, spectacular natural landscapes composed of granite boulders that tumble to the sea, excellent wildlife and bush walks, and the views have to be seen to be believed.

Getting There
You will arrive at Nelly Bay Harbour from Townsville. You can travel over on a passenger only ferry service or bring your car over on a barge service.

If arriving without a car, once you disembark at Nelly Bay Harbour, you can catch a bus to Island Palms Resort by simply asking the friendly bus drivers that will be waiting out the front of the ferry terminal; by walking the 1.2km to the resort (refer to driving directions) or catching a taxi.

If arriving by car, once you disembark the car barge at Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal: follow driveway straight ahead off the barge, turn left at the roundabout when IGA supermarket is on your right. You've now entered Sooning Street. After approximately 700 metres, take the second left (Kelly Street) then turn right at the beachfront (The Esplanade). Island Palms Reception is 2nd building on your right, with clear signage.
