Influenced by traditional sporting events and home to the Australian Children's Authors & Illustrators, you will need more than one night to explore the passageways and corridors filled with authentic antiques, original artworks and engaging history.

The Hughenden is located around the corner from Paddington, Fox Studios & the Sydney Football Stadium, SCG and Randwick Racecourse.

Visitors are welcome to experience the warmth, charm and personal service offered by The Hughenden. With 36 Heritage Rooms, 8 self contained Terrace Suites, Pet Friendly Accommodation, Lounge Bar, Meeting and Event facilities, The Hughenden has unique offerings for all to experience and enjoy.

All rates include a continental buffet breakfast.

We are only 10 minutes from the City & 5 minutes to Bondi. On-site carparking is available, but is limited. It is advised to contact the hotel directly and reserve a car space. We have limited onsite parking and it does fill up very fast. Charges will apply.

Should you need to cancel a reservation, bookings must be cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee of one night's accommodation.

Cosy Rooms and King Rooms are NOT pet friendly. You must request a Pet-friendly room as we only have 6 available, it is recommended that you contact that property prior to booking to confirm a Pet-friendly room is available. Only some of our Terrace Apartment Rooms are pet friendly. Please contact the hotel directly for more information and assistance.

Cosy Rooms have also been awarded a rating of 3 and a half stars by AAA Tourism. All other rooms have been awarded a 4 star rating.

Please note that our Terrace Suites do not have reverse cycle air-conditioning. The a/c units offer cooling only. Portable heaters are available during the cooler Winter months.


CHECK IN PROCEDURES
We pre-authorise all credit cards upon arrival. This process validates the presented credit card, and protects both the cardholder and merchant from increasing fraud incidents. The pre-authorised amount is set aside by the credit card company for a period of up to 3-days.

The pre-authorisation will affect your available funds and / or spending limit. Our pre-authorisation amount is $50.

Once a pre-authorisation has been made, we cannot release, remove or lower the authorised amount. This is a restriction placed on us by the bank and cannot be negotiated.

Without the above mentioned credit card pre-auth, we can accept a cash security bond at time of check-in. This is at our Managers discretion and can be anywhere from $100 to $500 depending on the length of stay

Guest Computer is available in our Victorian Lounge complete with Broadband internet acess. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the property.

We have photocopying, faxing and printing services available at Reception. We offer private meetings spaces for groups large and small. Our Terrace Suites do not have access to the wireless, but have fast broadband included in the tariffs of all rooms

Getting There
From the airport it is best to catch a Taxi - the street address is 14 Queen Street, Woollahra, the cross Street is Oxford Street.
If driving, take the expressway to the city. Turn Right at Cleveland Street, all the way until Lang Road meets Oxford Street & just go through the intersection & we are on the left.

From Central railway, catch the 378 bus from central to Queen Street. We are located just around the corner on the left.

By car from the North Shore - take the Eastern Distributer & turn at the Bondi Exits, the Queen Street exit is the 3rd set of traffic lights on the left. Come through the intersection slowly as we are just 50m on the left, pull up in the driveway & press the intercom on the fence & we will let you into the carpark.

Parking Info
We have a limited number of car-spaces available at the hotel. It is highly recommend to contact the hotel directly to reserve a space. Charges will apply. There is plenty of off-street parking available, at no charge, but on restricted time limits. Parking in the Hughenden Carpark is at your own risk.
