Robert and Adrienne would like to welcome you to share in the natural beauty of Mission Beach from their colonial Queenslander style home set on 2.5 acres of peaceful lush tropical gardens and rain forest.
You can have an action packed stay by choosing the many tours available or just relax around the sparkling pool or have a quiet read in the garden under the cool trees and enjoy the sights and sounds of the many native birds. You may even be lucky enough to see our local Cassowary.
Hibiscus Lodge has a separate guest wing with entrance through the guest lounge. Our Bed and Breakfast features tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, books and games, tour rack and television plus lovely comfortable seating to relax on at the end of your day.
We have three guest rooms available all featuring comfortable queensize beds. Guest rooms are tastefully decorated in the colours and style of the tropics and have, for your comfort and enjoyment EN-SUITES along with TELEVISION & DVD,( DVD library available) AIRCONDITIONING plus CEILING FANS. Frangipani Room has large double bath tub. Great for those romantic evenings. If fresh air is your thing and like to listen to the sounds of the rainforest at night and not be bothered by tropical bugs we do have open INSECT SCREENED windows (most essential in the tropics).
Each morning relax over a gourmet Tropical Breakfast with a choice of cereals, yoghart, fresh locally grown fruit (some of which is picked from our orchard) juice, baked muffins and toast with homemade jams and marmalades, tea and freshly ground plunger coffe which is grown in the Tablelands.
A complimentry drink of wine, beer or soft drink is served each evening on the verandah while we watch the sun go down over the palm trees and listen to the wildlife of the rainforest. If walking to your choice of restaurant for your dinner we can lend you a torch and you may be lucky enough to spot a Wallaby coming out for the night to graze.

Getting There
From Cairns.
Drive south on the Bruce Highway following the signs either to Townsville, Innisfail or Tully. When you arrive at Innisfail after about 1 hour make a right hand turn just after passing ANZAC Park which is on your left opposite to a hotel and service station. Keep driving along the Bruce Highway for a further 30 minutes and you will come to a small town calles El Arish. Here you will see a left hand sign pointing you to Mission Beach. Drive through beautiful rain forest for 16 km. Just before reaching the town of Mission Beach you will see a small hardware store on your right along with Paradise Winery. Turn right at the sign which says Wongaling Beach. Continue until you arrive at the small shopping centre of Wongaling. You can't miss it as there is a large statue of a Cassowary in front. Turn left down Wongaling Beach road. The first street on you left is Coolibah Street then turn left again into Kurrajong Close.

From Townsville.
Drive north from Townsville towards Cairns. After about 2 hours you will approach the town of Tully. Continue through the 2 sets of traffic lights for a further 2 km where you will see the signs for Mission Beach. Make a right hand turn here and travel for about a further 22 km through tropical rainforest where you will reach the small shopping centre of Wongaling. You can't miss it.There is a large statue of a Cassowary in from. Turn right into Wongaling Beach Road . The first street on you left is Coolibah Street. Turn left and then left again into Kurrajong Close.

By Coach from Cairns.

There is a daily coach service from Cairns Airport and CBD to Mission Beach called Mission Beach Dunk Island Connections. This service will drop you at our front door.
