Getting There
By Car
The Harrietville Hotel Motel is located at 169 Great Alpine Road, next door to the Harrietville Primary School, on the corner of Mt Feathertop Track.
Harrietville is a four hour drive from Melbourne. From Melbourne, take the Hume Highway to Glenrowan, at Glenrowan take the Milawa exit. Follow the signs to Myrtleford, and then follow the signs to Bright. Harrietville is 25km on from Bright towards Mt Hotham on the Great Alpine Road (B500).
Harrietville is the last town this side of Mt Hotham, so remember to check your petrol gauges before proceeding up the mountain. You will find the Harrietville Hotel Motel on the left hand side, just before the school bridge.
By Bus or Train
V/Line operates a daily service from Melbourne to Wangaratta with coach transfers from Wangaratta to Bright. For timetable information and charges contact V/Line direct.
During the winter, the Snowball express bus departs daily from Melbourne's Southern Cross (Spencer Street) Coach Terminal and travels via Myrtleford, Bright and Harrietville. The scheduled bus service stops at Hoys A Frame before travelling up to Mt Hotham. Scheduled services are provided by. (This is a winter only coach service).
