Overview
Hamilton Heritage is an early 1900 brick and stucco Californian bungalow with stained glass windows, original ornate ceilings and working fireplaces, nestled on Historic Cameron Hill in Hamilton the cosmopolitan heart of the Newcastle area. We have three ensuited rooms with an individual theme. The three ensuited rooms are air conditioned. Each room has fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, TV, ironing facilities and hairdryers.

A breakfast of your choice and time is served in the breakfast room overlooking the private leafy garden.

The Grandiloquent Suite suitable for single, double, triple or family stay has large spa/shower bathroom with stained glass windows, chandelier and candelabra. This suite of two bedrooms will sleep up to six people with a foldaway bed or cot placed in main bedroom. The main bedroom has a double and single bed which makes it suitable for twin share occupancy. The smaller bedroom has double bunks, both rooms have TV, clock/radio, fans, filtered water and the main room is air conditioned with a fan/light over beds. The original polished timber and mirrored fireplace is in working order, wood is provided upon request. Linen, towels and bathrobes, soap and hair products, hairdryer and iron/ironing board and tea and coffee are also provided.

The Tranquillity Room with four poster black iron and polished timber queen bed has room for a foldaway or cot if needed for extra person stay. This room suits single, double, triple or small family stay. The room is air conditioned with fan/light over the bed, TV, clock/radio, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and provisions, iron/ironing board and hairdryer provided as well as all linen and toiletries. The ensuite has bath/shower. Beautiful stained glass windows grace this room.

The Kimberley Room with Edwardian casement window allows the morning sun to bathe the room in soft coloured light. The black iron and lace canopied queen bed with white Queen Anne furniture has a romantic feel and is suitable for single or double stay. There is room for a foldaway cot if needed. The room has a TV, clock/radio, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and provisions, filtered water, iron/ironing board and hairdryer, linen, towels, bathrobes and toiletries provided.

We love to have your Fur Children stay, they are most welcome to bed down with you, please bring their bedding and other requirements, we ask that they be vacinated and de-fleed. to help us with maintaining a clean environment for all. We ask for a small fee of $5 per dog per night.

Hamilton Heritage is close to everything! We're a short stroll to Beaumont Street well known for its smorgasbord of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and boutique pubs, boutique dress shops, wonderful book shops and gift stores to please the most discerning shopper, post office, chemists and newsagencies as well as a pet friendly park. We are also close Broadmeadow and Hamilton Railway stations.

There is a direct bus route on Belford Street to Newcastle and John Hunter Hospital as well as various other suburbs around the corner.

Its just a short drive to all Newcastle beaches, the foreshore, harbour, off leash dog beach, art galleries, historic walks and attractions, wet land centres, wildlife parks where you can feed and pat our local wildlife, feed the sharks and rays, sand boarding excursions, horse and camel riding, surfing, swimming or just lazing around on the sand.

Hunter Valley Vineyards Tours pick up from B&B can be arranged or if you wish to drive they?re just 50 minutes away.

There are lots of things to do and see in the Hamilton/Newcastle area. Go-karting, mini golf, hang gliding, wind surfing, historic walks, harbour dining, river cruises, whale watching in season, helicopter and sight-seeing flights.

Hamilton Heritage caters for the traveler or business person who travels with their family and fur children. Our high fenced and gated yard is safe and secure for the fur child to be left whilst taking care of business a fee of $5 per hour will be charged for dog sitting. We ask that you bring their bedding and food.

For long term stays kitchen and laundry facilities are available.

Wireless internet, fax machine and printer available.

Hamilton Heritage also has a guest lounge with TV/DVD player original polished mirrored working fireplace, wood provided upon request.

The verandah is screened overlooking the private garden a lovely place to unwind. The garden is there to be enjoyed!

Getting There
If traveling from Sydney direction take the Newcastle exit off the F3 link road to Wallsend then follow Newcastle road and signs to Hamilton. Turn right into Samdon Street, right into Belford Street, left into Blackall and left into Denison. We are 10 places from corner on the left side of the road at number 178.

If traveling from QLD or New England direction, follow the Maitland Road to Newcastle using the signs as a guide. Once in Hunter Street turn into Tudor Street and continue along to Belford Street near the fire station. Turn left into Blackall Street, left into Denison Street and we are 10 places from the corner on the left hand side of the road at number 178.

We are a short walk from Broadmeadow Station or Hamilton Station. Taxis are always waiting for train arrivals outside of station.

Belford Street bus stop is just around the corner from us, you can either walk up Samdon Street and turn right or Blackall Street and turn right into Denison street.

Arrangements can be made to meet and greet trains and buses.

Newcastle Airport is about 30 minutes from our door. There are always taxis waiting or you can arrange with the shuttle bus to drop you at our door. If you decide to take the public transport to Newcastle bus depot please let us know and we will collect you from there.
