And the good news is that over the last 12 months we have replaced all the curtains, all the TV's, all the living room furniture and every apartment has been totally repainted.

We are very mindful that you are coming to Cairns to have a holiday and experience all that the Cairns region has to offer. At Grosvenor in Cairns we believe that it is our primary role to provide you with spacious, comfortable, well appointed and above all clean accommodation that you can use as a base for your holiday adventure, all at a reasonable price. In addition, our role is to be as flexible with things like check in / check out times as is possible and to do everything we can to provide you with the facilities and information to make the most of your experience whilst in Cairns.
The property, built in 1997, features timeless architecture in a tropical garden setting and is ideally situated just off the northern approach to the city from Cairns International Airport and only minutes from the bustling Cairns city heart.
One of the facilities of our complex which you will love is the Solar Heated Pool with its own water feature and SPA. The pool area also has an undercover BBQ/meals area and plenty of outdoor furniture as well as shower and toilet facilities.
Free underground parking (up to 2.1 height) is provided for our guests who have a motor vehicle and we have security access to the building after 7.00 pm. Parking is also available on site for vehicles with a height greater than 2.1 meters.
A car rental business is located 200 meters away and a hire car can be arranged from as little as $55 per day for a hire period of between 1 and 3 days. A budget 2 door vehicle would cost from $55 per day or an economy 4 door vehicle would cost from $65 per day, or a medium sized vehicle would cost from $75 per day. Hire costs include insurance and unlimited kilometres. The standard insurance excess is $1,750 but for an extra payment of $15 per day the excess is reduced to $385.
Grosvenor in Cairns is located on the Corner of Grove Street and McLeod Street. A very good Indian restaurant is located immediately next door, an Italian restaurant is only just around the corner and the famous 'Cock & Bull' English style pub/tavern is located only 250 meters away. Also very close (within 200 meters) are takeaway food shops (2 pizza shops, a kebab shop, a Chinese takeaway shop, two fish and chip shops), a 24 hour convenience store as well as an IGA supermarket (open until 11 pm), a discount liquor store, a bakery and a delicatessen. It is only a 20 minutes walk to Cairns Central Shopping Center or 10 minutes to the Esplanade on Trinity Inlet.
2 BEDROOM APARTMENTS - Spacious, AAA rated, 4 Star, fully self contained 2 bedroom apartments have 2 separate bedrooms, the master with a Queen size bed and the second bedroom with either a Queen or two Single beds. Our two bedroom apartments are designed to accommodate up to 4 persons. The apartments have a fully tiled very large Living room (just great for the tropics) which contains a 5 seat lounge+chase plus a dining table for up to 4 guests, a lovely spacious Kitchen with hot plates, microwave, dishwasher and all crockery ,cutlery and cooking utensils, a clothes washer/dryer,..... TWO bathrooms ...... (one bathroom has a shower and bath and the other bathroom has a walk-in shower), 2 x Televisions (if you don't all want to watch the same show, you can watch the show you prefer on any of our 10 FREE Austar (Cable) TV channels (3 x Movie channels and 4 x Fox Sports channels) plus all the free to air digital channels, plus a DVD/CD Micro Sound system. The Master Bedroom has a private ensuite (includes a bath and a shower), TV with FREE cable TV, Dining table and 2 Dining chairs, a 2 seat couch, tea/coffee making facilities and separate temperature control airconditioning. Wireless Internet access is available in all apartments via a third party provider (MyPort). The rooms are interconnecting. The apartments are fitted with a washer/dryer combination and there is also a guest laundry on site for guest use. We provide fresh towels and rubbish removal daily (unlike most other self-contained apartment complexes who either don't provide this service or charge extra for it) and a mid week service (full linen change & make beds, vacuum and mop) for guests staying longer than 7 nights. Standard occupancy is 4 but a 5th and/or 6th guest can be accommodated by the use of a rollaway bed at an additional cost of $25 per night, per guest. Infant portacots are available for $10 per night and high chairs are also available at $10 per night. Infants aged 2 years and under are not charged for if they sleep in existing bedding or guests supply their own portacot.

Wireless Internet access is available in all rooms via a third party provider (MyPort). All rooms have 24 hour phone and WiFi internet access is available throughout the complex. Reception staff attend to guests' emails, photocopying and fax requirements. A computer terminal is located in the reception foyer that is free for guest use to access the internet.
Getting There
Taxi from Cairns Airport takes about 5 minutes and costs about $20.00. From the railway station about $12.00. For guests staying 5 nights or longer a reimbursement of an arrival taxi fare from the airport or rail station is provided as follows: Take a taxi to Grosvenor in Cairns (on the corner of McLeod Street and Grove Street), pay the cab fare, OBTAIN A RECEIPT, and present the receipt at check in to be reimbursed the taxi fare in cash.
Driving into Cairns from airport or Port Douglas on the Highway (Sheridan Street), immediately after passing the Captain Cook statue on left, turn right into Grove Street and Grosvenor in Cairns is immediately on left.
Driving into Cairns from south on Highway, turn left onto McLeod Street at the first lights after the railway crossing. Turn right at the second roundabout (Grove Street) and the Grosvenor in Cairns is immediately on your right.

Free undercover parking is available for all guests (for vehicles less than 2.1 mtrs in height) Outdoor parking is also available for vehicles higher than 2.1 mtrs.
