Grande Vue Private Hotel offers outstanding quality accommodation,all rooms (with the exception of our Chamber @ Spa rooms} offer spectacular water views.
Executive water view rooms are on the first floor, with outstanding views of the Derwent Estuary & Historic Battery Point.
Water view rooms are on the ground floor, they also offer a stunning & interesting outlook over the waterfront.

The Grande Vue Hotel location is ideal, just a few of blocks to Salamanca Market and Hobart's waterfront.
Battery Point a is safe, historic neighborhood located close to the heart of Hobart.
Battery Point is a charming combination of quiet residential streets and city convenience, offering guests a selection of excellent local restaurants, bakery's and coffee shops for lunch or dinner, also pubs for live music or a late night snacks. The gorgeous and interesting streets are great for a morning or evening walk.
The Grande Vue building itself is quiet wonderful. The architecture has been preserved through a thorough and thoughtful renovation and the result is a clean, bright, elegant and comfortable place to stay.
The Hotel is surrounded by fine examples of Hobart's colonial architecture. Less than 1KM from the GPO & the city centre.
This gracious Queen Anne style Mansion was built by Mr Charles Fox as a family home in 1906.
Featuring restored stained glass windows, internal stairs, and fireplaces to their former glory.
The building has a comfortable guest lounge where guest's can enjoy a pre-dinner drink or just relax with friends.
Through out the property comfortable furniture and antiques come together with quality and
modern amenities and friendly service.
Individually designed studio rooms have king, twin or queen beds, a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge/ mini bar, sink, microwave, crockery, cutlery & glassware for light meal preparation.
We offer a choice of beautifully appointed rooms with marble bathrooms, walk in showers , spectacular water views, corner spa's or oval soaker bath and a Grande Vue spa suite that provides accommodation for up to 4 adults.
All rooms have flat panel TV, DVD, complementry 24 hour broadband & wireless internet access, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, individual control central heating, heated towel rails & opening windows.
Our Executive water view rooms are on the first floor and our water view rooms, also with wonderful water views, are on the ground floor.
Unfortunatly we are not able to except any room requests.
Pick up laundry & dry cleaning service available Monday - Friday.
If your package includes breakfast, a healthy continental selection of fresh fruit,a choice of cereals, fresh local bakery bread, home made jams, yogurt, orange juice, Vittoria special ground coffee & a Twinning's tea selection.
Also complementary house made cakes or biscuits are part of our breakfast package.
If you have chosen our room only package ( room only ), breakfast can be ordered @ $12.50 pp during your stay if required.
Our location is well suited to exploring our wonderful tourist attractions, including local wineries, Tahune air walk, the Huon Valley, Port Arthur and Tasmania's unique wilderness area's .
We are happy to assist you with local advice and book day or evening tours on your behalf.
GRANDE VUE PRIVATE HOTEL IS A NON SMOKING PROPERTY.
Our rooms are furnished with many antiques & original fire places & fittings.For this reason we do not allow bikes or large sporting equipment to be assembled or taken into guest rooms.
SATURDAY CHECK-IN is not available between 12.00pm & 2.00pm on Saturdays only.
Guests are welcome to drop off bags from 8.00am until 12.00pm. If your room is available early check-in can be arranged.

Getting There
Grande Vue Private Hotel is located 20km from the Hobart airport.Taxi approximately $49.00.
By car-when leaving the airport turn left onto the Hwy to Hobart, follow signs to city, waterfront, Salamanca, Battery Point.
Mona Street runs off Colville Street, Colville Street runs between Hampden Rood & Trumpeter Street.
PLEASE NOTE - There is a aiport shuttle service operated by "Red Line" this bus will drop you some distance away from your Hotel, for that reason we do not recommend this service.

Parking Info
Free permit parking is available in front of the Grande Vue property.
Our location in Mona Street Battery Point is a quiet, Historic residential area, with no problems parking.
