Overview
Uniquely set within Freycinet National Park with a spectacular waterfront location at the foot of the Hazards, Freycinet Lodge is a superb base for exploring the world famous Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula. The property has 60 beautifully appointed cabins, all in a secluded bushland setting. Due to the location, pets are not permitted.
The main Lodge overlooks Great Oyster Bay and includes two restaurants, bar, lounge and conference areas. With superb water views, guests and day visitors have an amazing outlook as they enjoy fine produce from local suppliers and the Freycinet Peninsular.
The award winning Bay Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner, Richardson's Bistro is open from 10am with an extensive snack, lunch and dinner menu (not open for dinner during winter months). Guests and visitors are welcome, reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment for dinner in the Bay Restaurant.
Hazards Bar is open daily and is the ideal location to participate in wine and whisky tastings - bookings essential.
The Hazards Lounge is available from 7am until late for guests to sit and enjoy the warmth of large open fires on cooler days and to admire the amazing sunsets at the end of every day.
Accommodation ranges from one bedroom cabins, two room cabins, deluxe spa and beautifully appointed premier spa cabins - ideal for singles, couples and families longing for a memorable experience. All cabins are telephone free with television access limited to the premier cabins to ensure complete relaxation.
With bushland views to enjoy the peace and quiet of the National Park, the cabins are tastefully decorated and offer a relaxing hide away after a busy day exploring the peninsular. Guests take advantage of their private deck to observe native wildlife including wallabies, possums, quolls and birds across all hours of the day and night.
Direct access to Richardson's Beach is within easy reach, with a short minute walk guests can enjoy the sun, surf and sand - all that is expected of a coastal resort. A two minute stroll will provide guests with access to Honeymoon Bay for a leisurely swim and a fifteen minute drive will enable access to Friendly Beaches (nominated as one of Getaway's Australian ten top beaches) perfect for romantic walks along the sand and surfing opportunities for those who love the waves.
Due to the property location within the Freycinet National Park, Park fees apply from $24 per day which can be paid on arrival to the Lodge or on entry to the National Park at the Information Centre within the Park boundary.

Three conference rooms are available, complete with conferencing equipment and audio visual.
Conference packages are created to meet your requirements by our designated co-ordinator, including a range of catering options.
Direct dial Internet access is available from within the conference rooms - wireless access can be arranged however there are limitations with this service.
Photocopying, printing and facsimile facilities are available on request.
Due to the location, there is limited Telstra Mobile Net access in the Freycinet area. The introduction of NBN in the near future may assist to overcome access issues experienced by other mobile carriers.
Getting There
Freycinet Lodge is located in the Freycinet National Park on the east coast of Tasmania, two and a half hours' drive from Hobart or Launceston.
From Hobart take the Tasman Hwy (A3), heading east through Sorell and north via the picturesque seaside towns of Triabunna and Swansea.
From Launceston take the Midland Hwy (A1) south to Campbell Town, heading east turn left onto the Lake Leake Hwy (B34), then left again onto the Tasman Hwy (A3) - head north.
On your approach to the Peninsular, local vineyards offer cellar door experiences, a must for all visitors to the region. A spectacular view of 'The Hazards' on Freycinet Peninsula can be seen from the lookout at Cherry Tree Hill.
Approximately 20 minutes from the Lake Leake Hway(B34) and Tasman Hway ((A3) intersection, turn right onto Coles Bay Road (C302). Continue for fifteen minutes and travel through Coles Bay to reach the entrance to Freycinet National Park. Park passes can be purchased at the information centre, located within the park boundary.
Continue to drive towards The Hazards for another kilometre, turn right at the property sign for Freycinet Lodge and proceed to the parking area outside the Lodge building.
Parking Info
Parking for one car per cabin is provided close to your accommodation with parking for additional vehicles available in the general car park.
There is also a designated parking area for coaches and buses and ample room for trailers, motor homes and day-use visitors.
